These self catering apartments on Residence Le Grand Balcon are in the alpine village of Les Houches with stunning views of the Mont Blanc mountain range. The centre of Les Houches is a 10 minute walk which has supermarkets, bars, restaurants, ski/cycle hire shops. Bellevue and Prarion cable car stations are both a 5 minute walk away. There is also a bus stop at the entrance of the residence which provides easy access to the centre of Les Houches and Chamonix which is only 10km away, giving you a wide range of skiing options and access to some of the best skiing in the world. Great also for mountain biking, rock climbing, white water rafting, kayaking, paragliding and walking in the summer. There's a lake with a children's play area, a tree top adventure course for children and public tennis courts close by. We also offer to our guest beauty and massage treatments on resort.

Notes on prices
Prices are in Euros per week but any duration can be made, starting on any day of the week. Sheet and towels can be rented for a small charge, please ask about this. Every apartment has an end of stay cleaning charge which is €35 although you are expected to leave the apartment clean and tidy. Big discounts are given for longer durations ie months, seasonal, yearly. There are restrictions for New Year and February and August holidays.
Changeover day
We are very flexible, you can come for any duration as long as the apartment is available.

Notes on accommodation
Free on resort parking available, covered garage available for a charge, please inform us of car size before arriving. Cot available at an extra charge. Laundry and maid service are available at an extra charge, please request this if needed. An oven is available in some of the apartments.

There are apartments which are suitable for wheelchair users, please contact me with details of disability. There is a lift in the chalet to take you to the different floors.
Outside
Two deck chairs on the balcony. Balcony over looks the gardens on the residence and one of the best views of the village of Les Houches and the Mont Blanc mountains.
Golf
There is an 18 hole golf course in Chamonix which is 10km away.
Skiing
The apartments are a 5 minute walk from the Prarion and Bellevue ski lift. Les Houches is often open when other areas are shut due to bad weather. There are a variety of slopes, for beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders. There is also extensive skiing in Chamonix, Argentiere and Le Tour which are all a short bus ride away 10-20 mins. 4km away from Les Houches is the Mont Blanc tunnel which gives you access to the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur.
Special interest holidays
Walking and rock climbing with amazing views. Great for hikers and mountain bikers in the Summer. Other activities available include archery, rafting, cannoning and paragliding. There is also a spectacular golf course. For dogs lovers and children visit the St Bernards Dogs kennels and try dog sleighing with Husky dogs. There is also an adventure park which is situated in a wooded area of 3 hectares opposite Mont Blanc, with 70 tree bound activities with rope ladders, tibetan bridge, tyroliennes etc. Open in the summer and winter, the winter circuit is followed on snow-shoes and is always in the presence of a professional. You can also visit one of the many animal parks. There is also the possibility to have massage and beauty treatments in your apartment or on the residence.
Travel
One hour's drive from Geneva airport which is well served with BA, Swiss and Easyjet airlines. A coach service is available to Chamonix from Geneva airport. A 7-8 hours drive from Calais 560 miles / 900km. There are local buses that provide transport throughout the Chamonix valley

Further details
Les Houches has lots of nice restaurants; there are also various supermarkets, deli's, bakeries and coffee shops. Banks are located in the centre of town. There are a couple of sports shops which include ski rental and bike rental. The Tourism Office is in town centre and will provide you with any information you may require.
