We found the apartment very comfortable and well-equipped. Being on the 3d floor, it attracted the early morning sun which added to its appeal. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wishes to visit the area but, even more so, we would comment the owners as being lovely decent people. John and Fiona McC., Edinburgh April 2010.

About the owner
My wife, Christa and myself, Jacques, are an early European couple, since she was born in Germany and became french when we were married. Both of us are retired. Christa worked as an Administrative Assistant in several international companies, IBM, Marriott (when we spent on year in the USA), Motorola. I was MD, Professor in Endocrinology in the University Hospital of Caen and chief of the endocrinology department of this hospital. We have 3 children. We are classical music lovers, and also interested in artistic and cultural activities
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Tours and surrounding area is a beautiful site, with huge architectural, historical and cultural interest. This region was chosen by some famous artists, Leonardo da Vinci, later Calder and Max Ernst. They all spent some years in Touraine. It is also a wine area (Chinon, Bourgueil, Vouvray) and garden lovers will find some outstanding gardens (Villandry, chateau du Rivau, la Chatonniere, a garden festival in Chaumont during summer).
