This is a small, economical and impeccably clean self-catering Brittany holiday home. It once was a fisherman's cottage and is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the pleasures of Brittany on the West Coast of France. It is within walking distance or a short drive to shops, the town center of Audierne and several marvelous beaches. The exquisite white sand beaches and absence of large hotels (and crowds) accounts for the areas appeal to locals throughout the region.

Outside
Though the cottage does not have its own garden, it is so close to the beach that we never miss it.
Coast/Beach
There are three white-sand beaches closest to the cottage; a simple beach in easy walking distance; a long broad beach a 25-minute walk, or 5-minute drive; and a third family beach across the bridge and past the quai in town.
Golf
There are several golf courses within easy distance of our self-catering holiday cottage in Brittany.
The region's Brittany's mild climate and absence of crowds makes it ideal for golf nearly all year long.
Whether by the seaside or in the country, on links or in parklands, Brittany´s superb golf courses offer breathtaking scenery, warm hospitality and high-quality facilities for players of all skill levels.
Travel
Fly into Brest or Quimper and hire a car there. We are about an hour's drive from Brest or 45 minutes from Quimper. We do suggest hiring a car, though it is not essential.
The TGV also runs between Paris and Quimper.
Traveler's from the UK may opt to take a car ferry. They arrive in Roscoff and St. Malo.
Distances
The self-catering cottage is within walking (25-minute walk) or driving (5-minute drive) distance.
It is within a short drive of the towns of Locronan, Quimper, Concarneau and Benodet.
Further details
Audierne lies on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the Goyen River and is a fishing village with large sand beaches.
Still not a major tourist destination, it is an ideal place to witness an unspoilt Brittany port.
It is still actively involved in the fishing industry and its restaurants are full of France’s freshest fish. Bring fresh sea food back to your holiday cottage directly from the wharfside or from the marvelous fish market.
Take the ferry around the Pointe du Raz and its lighthouses to Île de Sein.
Along the harbour stretches the town's main shopping area with its cafés, bars and restaurants, crêperies, boutiques, the town hall, the tourism office, and a movie theatre.
Saturday and Wednesday mornings there is a farmers' market, where you can browse the stalls for local specialties to bring back to your self-catering holiday cottage.

English is spoken in the Tourist Information office, which was helpful. The nearest beach is beautiful. We had a fabulous time and would certainly go back very soon."
