We have 3 apartments in this handsome 200 year old building, which was once a hotel, and has recently been sympathetically converted into en-suite apartments of a luxury standard. The location is superb, right in the town centre, opposite Morzine church, next to the Dranse river and just a stone’s throw from the supermarket, boulangerie, bars and restaurants. 5 minutes walk up to Pleney, but you can also hop on the 'D' bus which runs in a loop round the town centre and stops by the church. Each apartment has a parking space and a secure ski and boot locker at ground level. There is a lift. Both apartments have just been awarded a 4-star tourist classification.

Notes on prices
There is a 10% discount off the 2nd week of a 2 week let. Cleaning charges: Summer for apartment D, there is a cleaning charge of 40 euros, for Apartment C it's €60 and for Apartment H it is 70 euros. Winter standard end-of-stay cleaning is included in the rate. Linen and towels are included in the rental rate for all members of your party named on your booking form.

Changeover day
During the winter season Saturdays are the changeover day for apartments D and H, and Apartment C has a Sunday changeover. In summer and out of season flexible changeover days and shorter stays can be considered.

Apartment D is ideal for 2 couples or one family, as it has 67 m² of space on 2 floors. It is comfortable and decorated in a homely 'cottage' style. Entry is directly off the entrance foyer, into an open-plan lounge/dining area and kitchen, with glass-fronted fireplace and balconies on both sides, and balcony furniture. The sofa can convert into a double bed (with 2 single duvets). The compact kitchen is well equipped and there is a wc off the lounge. Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and wc, and the second bedroom has double bed, shower room and wc. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and French doors leading out onto a sunny balcony overlooking the river. The kitchen has full-sized oven; ceramic hob; large fridge/freezer; dishwasher; microwave; washing machine.

Apartment H is an excellent choice of apartment for 4 couples or 2 families. There is an open-plan lounge/dining room featuring a curved built-in fireplace with a sliding glass front, and cream leather furniture in which to relax and unwind after a hard day on the mountain! The streamlined kitchen area has excellent facilities and lovely dark granite work surfaces. Beautifully finished and decorated, the apartment is supplied with pure white cotton bedlinen and matching towels. The Master bedroom has a king size bed and built in wardrobes, plasma screen TV, en-suite bathroom with bath, overhead shower and wc. Bedroom 2 is a double with an exterior shower room and wc. A flight of stairs integrated into the beams above the dining table leads up to the top floor, which is built into the eaves of the building and features all original beams and wood. Bedroom 3 is very large and has 2 single beds, and an en-suite shower and wc. Bedroom 4 has a double bed and en-suite shower/wc.

A delightful and stylish apartment set out on 2 levels, and with full length balconies overlooking the river: on the main floor is the spacious lounge (with large TV / DVD and Freesat channels, superb Ipod music station and wi-fi), the kitchen, storage space with washing machine, and WC / handbasin. The kitchen has full-size fridge, induction 4-ring hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave. Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms: a master bedroom with ensuite shower / WC, a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom with TV/ DVD. These 2 bedrooms share a large family bathroom with bath, overhead shower and WC. All bedrooms have balcony access.

 

Notes on accommodation
All apartments have a parking space next to the building and are centrally heated (a combination of underfloor heating and radiators). Each apartment has a walk-in ski locker at ground level (please note, there is no suitable secure storage for mountain bikes and they cannot be brought into the apartments). All apartments are strictly non-smoking.

Accessibility
There is a lift inside the building (especially useful for Apartment H, for people with limited mobility).

Outside
Apartment D has 3 balconies - one large one leading out from the dining area and overlooking the Rue du Bourg, with a outdoor table and chairs; a second one running the length of the lounge and overlooking the river, and a third balcony shared by the two bedrooms and also overlooking the river. Apartment C has full length balconies on both floors overlooking the river. Apartment H has one small balcony access from the lounge, overlooking the Rue du Bourg.

Golf
Les Gets 18 hole golf course (approx 8km drive).
Avoriaz 9 hole golf course at 1800m (11km drive).

Skiing
Morzine is the largest resort in the huge Portes du Soleil ski area - one of the largest ski areas in the world. Spanning 13 linked resorts along the French-Swiss boarder the Portes du Soleil offers a fantastic variety of skiing and snowboarding for all ability levels. Skiers, snow boarders, cross-country skiers and telemark enthusiasts are all welcome. With an amazing 650km of piste (and plentiful off-piste) and more than 200 lifts, sometimes the most difficult decision is which area to discover next! Luckily you'll have the benefit of our experience to draw on - having spent an average of 15 years skiing in the area we can honestly claim to have a thorough knowledge of the Portes du Soleil, which we are keen to share with you!

Travel
Geneva airport is the closest airport - 65km via Thonon (1 hr 20min). Airport transfers can be arranged for 60 euros return per person (lower rates for groups of 7+). Thonon train station is the closest, at 30km away. It takes about 8.5 hrs to drive from Calais, allowing for a couple of short stops (800km). Hire cars absolutely not needed when staying in our apartments in the winter, but for summer stays it is recommended to have the use of a car to enable you to see the sights.

Geneva - 65km.
Annecy - approx 1.5 hrs drive.

Further details
There are many restaurants and bars within a stone's throw of the building. The excellent Carrefour supermarket (open 7.30am - 8.30pm every day all winter long) is 2 mins walk as is the colourful weekly market (held on Weds mornings). The Tourist Office is 200m from the building, the Pleney telecabine is 300m and the SuperMorzine telecabine is 300m. The main French banks are all situated in a 50m radius of the tourist Office.

Booking notes
25% deposit taken at the time of booking with balance due 8 weeks before departure. Payment can be made by credit or debit card (not Maestro, Switch or AMEX) or by bank transfer to our French account.
Please note that a 300 euros damage deposit is payable on arrival. This is refunded after a complete inspection of the property on departure day.
