La Fourquerie is a Country Gite Cottage and/or Studio Apartment set in the heart of the beautiful countryside in the Dordogne area of France. It is run by an English couple who are offering a 'Home from Home' holiday, but in France. You will be staying in your own complete Gite Cottage. The area is less than 30 minutes from Bergerac Roumaniere Airport, but you would never know as it is in this lovely part of France. There are lots of local activities which include horse riding, cycling and walking. Travel a little further a field and will find many things to do and visit including areas of natural beauty, buildings of historic interest, caves and wonderful French villages and towns. The owners aim to give you the holiday that you want, by making you feel welcome and helping organise all your activities. If you are looking for a holiday where you can relax and enjoy the pleasantries of the French countryside then look no further.

Weeks run from 4pm Saturday to 11.30am Saturday- unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Pets come subject to prior agreement. La Fourquerie gite and studio includes shared use of family salt water swimming pool.
Changeover day
Run from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise agreed.
Arrival around 4pm and depart around 11.30am to suit both parties.

One bedroom. Double bed, electric heating, single bed, electric fan. Velux windows and blinds. Fitted bathroom- shower cabin, sink and cabinet, toilet, electric towel rail. Kitchen diner and living room- electric heating, three seater sofa/ bed, WiFi internet, dresser, coffee table, British satellite TV, DVD player, HiFi, stock of electronic games, books and DVDs. Kitchen dining room- microwave oven, fridge freezer, electric cooker and hob, cooking equipment, coffee maker, toaster, dining table and chairs, storage cupboards, picture window. Electric heating and hot water (inclusive) all in your studio cottage. High chair and cot available. Meals available subject to prior arrangement and cost. |

Notes on accommodation
Both properties are ideal for families with children and people of all ages. No pets unless subject to prior agreement.
Accessibility
We are able to provide wheel chair access to the gite cottage, however prior discussion is needed to confirm access widths and facilities.
Outside
Swimming pool- Heated Salt Water, Chlorine Free 10m x 5m with Roman Steps. Shared occasionally with owner. Cleaned by owner. Large covered patio with outdoor cooking kitchen and fridge. Barbecue, outdoor tables and chairs, loungers. Outdoor games, bikes in a 2 acre park like garden.
Coast/Beach
Arachon and the famous Dune de Plya is 2 hours drive away, new road link via A89 makes it easy to reach.
Golf
10 Minutes drive to Chateau Les Merles Golf Course and Resturant.
Special interest holidays
We can discuss unique- one on one horse riding breaks or all inclusive breaks with fully catered home cooked French and British food, with options such as accompanied shopping trips, Chateau tours and historic sites.
Travel
Less than 30 minutes from Bergerac Roumaniere Airport.
Car Hire recommended, although we will pick up and drop off small parties.
Distances
Lalinde only 10 minutes, Bergerac 20 minutes, Salat 90 minutes, Bordeaux 120 minutes, Perigeaux 90 minutes.
Caves of Lascaux 20 minutes, Rivers, Canoeing and various lakes and water parks from 15 minutes away.

A Family of four - 2 adults and 2 children with our horses and chickens emigrated to France to enjoy lovely weather and the beautiful countryside, which reminds us of our childhood in Sussex and Gloucestershire. World travelled and having previously worked in the UK in the consumer electronics industry and restaurant business we understand how important holidays are, and getting it 'right' for our guests - the balance between relaxation-enjoyment - value and quality.
