Traditional french farmhouse in a rural hamlet. 5 Minute walking distance of Sarrazac village with 2 bars, restaurant and a well stocked village store to get your essentials. A quiet location with beautiful views from large secluded garden, with bbq, shaded seating area with large table and chairs, plenty of room to play on the climbing frame and relax. Private swimming pool. Ideally situated for nearby holiday activities: swimming lake, water sports, caves, cycling, golf, fantastic local markets, cafe's and bars. The Velo-rails are a must for any age. Plenty of historical fairytale chateaus. 50 mins from Limoges airport which is accessed via numerous airports in England and 2 hours from Bordeaux which operates flights from Edinburgh allowing access from Scotland.

Notes on prices
To assist customers in the current financial climate our prices have remained the same for 2 years running.
Available for winter lets between October - Mid May (Minumum duration of 2 months - please use the contact form if you have queries about a winter let). Woodburning stove in the kitchen & electric radiators available. Prices for winter let are inclusive of water, gas & electric.
Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day. Arrivals at 4 pm departures at 10.am (we try to be flexible if contacted beforehand and prior arrangements are made)

Notes on accommodation
A travel cot, stair gate and high chair can be made available on request. There is no direct internet access however those with 3G mobile phones can pick up access internet via thier provider. Please check with the provider about roaming costs prior to using the net.
Outside
There is a small seating area at the front of the house to catch early morning sun at front of property, ideal for enjoying an early coffee. The large garden extends to the rear of the property and has a gravelled seating area leading to bbq. The seating area offers shade from the sun. large area of grass to run about in and a newly installed climbing frame for the kids which has swings, slide, climbing ladder and picnic table. Stunning views overlooking fields and horses in the valley. Private above ground swimming pool 7.2m x 3.8 m and 1.2m deep. It has safety steps to stop unsupervised access (these are lifted at night to prevent young children gaining access). Washing whirleygig at the end of the garden for drying washing. Our neighbours have chickens and they regularly wander into the garden. They are harmless and will generally avoid getting too close.
Coast/Beach
We have a fantastic local swimming lake within 20 mins drive. Rouffiac has a beach (lifeguards in peak season) water slide, water sports available here too. Canoeing, Pedalos, water skiing. Walking. Beautiful picnic areas, restaurant and store. A great place for day out.
Golf
Golf courses in Perigueux, (40 mins) and Limoges (1 hour).
Travel
Limoges airport and car hire 50 mins. Bergerac airport and car hire 90 mins. Thiviers train station (Paris line) 20 mins away.
Bordeaux airport is further away (2hours) but grants access from Scotland (Edinburgh & Glasgow)
Distances
Sarrazac is 15mins from N21 route, offering easy access to all attractions. Thiviers is 15 mins away & St Yrieix 20 mins, both have excellent supermarkets. Jumillhac le grand 10 mins. Perigueux 50 mins.
Further details
Sarrazac is a beautiful little hamlet and has 2 bars one with a restaurant "Chez Marie". This is a very popular local resaurant and during lunch a lot of local people converge on the place to enjoy a delicious lunch. A local store (a bit like a small co-op) with fresh local produce and other essentials including bread, milk, cheese, meats, wine and beer. This is a lovely rural area with lots of walks to enjoy the local wildlife. Jumilhac le Grande is a short drive away (10-15Mins) and has a lovely square with coffee shops and bars which opens up onto a beautiful chateau. It also has a tourist information office. There is good shopping to be found at Thiviers and St Yrieix but for some of the more familiar clothes shops and a greater choice then Perigueux would have something for everyone. This area is well known and sought after for fishing, especially for Carp and Catfish. There are several excellent fishing lakes within a short drive.
There is an excellent vegetarian restaurant in Périgueux: "Le Cocoon", 9 Place Saint-Silain, 0553536335. It is very small, only few tables, so you need to make reservations

Balance to be posted by cheque or wire transfer 6 weeks before arrival. Arrival of a cheque or funds in account will be confirmed by us.
Separate cheque for £250 for security deposit also required (returned after damage inspection 2 week after holiday).
