Set in the heart of the pretty hilltop village of Saint Victor, between Riberac and Perigueux, the studio apartment is attached to the owners' converted barn. The studio offers spacious accommodation for 2 adults. The kitchen area is equipped to a high standard and the living space is tastefully furnished to include a comfortable sofabed, farmhouse kitchen table and French antique chairs. There is a separate stylish shower room with toilet. The studio opens onto a courtyard and secluded garden which, in turn, has magnificent views over the Dronne river valley. The garden is for guests' use and includes shaded seating and eating areas. Guests are welcome to help themselves to fresh eggs from the owners' hens every day as well as fresh figs and garden produce in season.

Changeover day
Changeover day is usually Saturdays. Guests are asked to leave by 10am and arrive not before 3pm.

Accessibility
The apartment is at ground floor level and is suitable for adults with restricted mobility but not for wheelchairs.

There is a secluded courtyard and garden with mature trees providing shaded areas for sitting and eating. A range of garden furniture, including comfortable armchairs, tables and dining chairs, are provided. A barbecue is available for guests' use.

Travel
The nearest airports are at Bergerac, Limoges, Angouleme and Bordeaux. The ferry ports of Caen and Le Havre are 6 hours drive and the channel ports 8-9 hours drive.

Riberac is 10 minutes drive away, Perigueux is 30 minutes drive and Aubeterre, 30 minutes drive.
Further details
Saint Victor has its own excellent bar and restaurant in the church square, 100 metres from the apartment. There are several restaurants at other local villages as well as Riberac (10km.) and Perigueux (26kms.). Markets are held daily within easy driving distance, notably at Tocane (Mondays), Lisle (Tuesdays), Perigueux (Wednesdays), Saint Astier (Thursdays) and Riberac (Fridays), the largest market in the Dordogne.
Things to do locally include walking, golf, canoeing, horse riding, fishing, swimming and visiting sites of historical interest, pre-historic, Roman and medieval. There are several 'bastide' towns at approximately one and a half hours drive away.
Booking notes
Prices are 300 euros per week for June, July and August and 275 euros per week for April, May, September and October. The studio can also be booked on a nightly basis at 45 euros per night in high season and 40 euros per night mid-season. The apartment is available between the beginning of November and the end of March for 35.00 euros per night, 240.00 euros per week, heating included. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required upon reservation and the balance is payable in euros on arrival.
