The garden has an established fruit orchard, a large heated swimming pool, a boule court, external kitchen dining room for 12, barbecue fridge and hob. 4 separate stone tables and terraces to eat, (log and wood burning fires) separate external shower and loo. Tiled throughout and tastefully furnished. Live-in guardienne.

Notes on accommodation
The house is a family home and very suitable for children, we have two cots, two high chairs, children's toys (for the pool) There is a pool alarm. The outside pool house, is large, comprising a shower room, loo, and external kitchen, with hob, barbecue, fridge and zinc dining table. It is next to the boule court and orchard and overlooking the pool. Loungers and garden furniture in abundance. Live in guardienne can be helpful with babysitting arrangements.
Accessibility
The house is situated at the top of the Rue des Courmettes with a long drive. The living quarters are however all on one floor, ie the dining room, kitchen and sitting room. The two bedrooms in the guest wing are also on the same floor. There is a small flight of stairs to access the bedrooms in the main house. Access to the pool is again on one level, with a slight downward incline.
Outside
The garden which is very mature, has a large number of olive trees, bougainvillea, plumbago, rosemary and other Provencal plants. The large private swimming pool is heated. There are 5 separate eating areas, each with a zinc, or stone table, outside loungers, deck chairs, etc. The barbecue is part of the ext kitchen. The olive grove, overlooks the gorge and herb garden looking towards the sea. The wall which edges the olive grove has pots of pink and red geraniums.
Coast/Beach
30 mins from Nice, great beaches. 40 mins from Cannes, again great beaches, restaurants etc. There are however many local restaurants which are reasonably priced with great food.
Golf
There is a golf course at the end of the gorge, going towards Valbonne and Opio. Approx 15 mins.
Skiing
Les Coursegalles is the nearest ski resort, it is approx 30 mins, very good for children, good nursery slopes.
Special interest holidays
Tourrettes has a market each week, as does Vence, Valbonne which is 25 minutes away also has a market the first Sunday of each month. Bar Sur Loup is a beautiful hillside town which has many activities and an orange festival each year. The house is 30 mins from the airport and Nice where there are great beaches.
Travel
Nice is the nearest airport and about twenty five to thirty mins from the house. Car hire is recommended. There is however a very good taxi service is people do not wish to drive.
Distances
5 mins from Tourrettes sur Loup, 10 mins from Vence. Grasse which is at the end of the gorge is 15 - 20 mins by car.
Further details
The village and surrounding area has many great restaurants, at all levels, the Colombe d'or at St Paul de Vence is (20 mins). The village also has an excellent boulangerie, a paper shop, butcher and grocer, plus banking. Vence has a good supermarket. The Maeght Fondation is at St Paul de Vence, The Matisse Chapel near Vence.

We are five friends who get together every year, I live in New York and my girl friends live in Ireland, I don't think I can remember being anywhere so peaceful and beautiful, we had a wonderful time.
We are two families with 4 children between us, the house is beautiful, very large, with lots of space outside for the children to run around. We cooked outside near the pool for both lunch and dinner, the weather was equisite, I can strongly recommend.
