Beautiful house around 100 years old, in peaceful location. Comfortable and bright with open plan lounge and well equipped kitchen dining area, large garden with fruit and nut trees and patio with table for outdoor eating. The nearby river Aude provides canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting and many swimming spots. Nearby are the hot springs treatment centre at Rennes-les-Bains, horse riding, cycle hire and historic Cathar sites. The famous & mysterious Rennes-le-Chateau is 5 mins drive, or 1½ hours hill walk away. The Lac de Montabel with man-made beaches is 25 mins. The splendid medieval Cite of Carcassonne is 50 mins by car or train. The spectacular Bastide town of Mirepoix is 30 minutes drive. There are beaches within 75 minutes drive.
