The chalet is located in the pretty La Turche area of Les Gets and has superb unobstructed views towards the Mont-Chèry. The chalet is arranged over 3 well-appointed and spacious floors. On the first floor, the open plan lounge/dining area is equipped with a large stone fireplace, comfortable seating and a dining table that will seat 10. The room has balconies on either side, with large picture windows. There is a modern well-equipped kitchen with all facilities, including a dishwasher and microwave etc. There are two bedrooms on the upper floor and two on the lower, all with en-suite bathrooms. The master bathroom has a jacuzzi bath as well as separate shower. The TV/playroom on the lower floor can be used as an additional bedroom by converting the settee into two single beds. There is also a sauna and shower room on this floor. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is also located on the lower floor. There is sun deck and garden area behind the chalet.

Changeover day
During winter and summer season normal changeover day is Saturday but out of season this is flexible.
Chalet available from 4.00pm on arrival day and should be vacated by 10.00am on departure day.

Notes on accommodation
The chalet is very suitable for two families to share. There is plenty of space for the children to chill out in the separate TV room on the ground floor. The chalet is located in a very safe cul-de-sac with no through traffic and there is an excellent sledging hill behind it.
Accessibility
The bedrooms are located on the upper and lower floors and could not be accessed by wheelchair users.
Outside
There are balconies on two sides of the property which have a table and chairs, deckchairs and BBQ. There is a further balcony on the top floor which is accessed from the two bedrooms. On the lower ground floor there is another spacious sun deck and BBQ area.
Golf
Les Gets has an 18 hole golf course and there are further courses nearby at Avoriaz & Evian.
Skiing
The chalet is located 200m from the nearest ski-lift and ski pass office. From there, the whole of the Portes du Soleil ski area can be accessed. The ski bus also stops close by and this goes to the village centre where most ski schools meet. Skis and equipment can be rented at our local shop, Phillipe Sports, so the queues in the centre of the village can be avoided. When conditions allow, it is possible to ski back almost to the door of the chalet.
Travel
Geneva airport is approx 1 hours drive from Les Gets. Transfers from the airport can be arranged locally and there is also a bus from the airport to the village. Details of local transport companies can be provided.
Although a car is useful in the resort, it is not essential.
The journey from Calais to Les Gets is approximately 8 hrs drive.
Distances
Les Gets village centre - 10 minutes walk. Morzine - 6km. Avoriaz ski area - 9km. Lake Geneva - 45 mins drive. Lake Annecy - 1 hrs drive. Chamonix - 1 hrs drive.
Further details
Les Gets is a lively village with lots of activities arranged during the ski season. It is perfectly suited to a family holiday. There is an ice rink, museum, cinema, bowling alley and weekly entertainment put on by the Mairie.
In the summer there is a long list of activities to do including lake swimming, hiking, parapenting, devilkarts, forest activities etc.

It's not often you find a chalet with everything you could need to make self-catering so easy. The chalet was so comfortable that we never wanted to eat out.
