Set in the Vendee in a peaceful and tranquil location, La Vielle Grange comprises of an attractive farmhouses which has been converted to 3 spacious gites, adjacent to La Grange with a further 3 gites. Each gite has its own fully equipped kitchen, garden furniture, BBQ and large terrace. Each gîte has central heating. The property enjoys views over open countryside and has 2.5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. There are many places in these gardens where you can sit and relax, either in tree shaded areas or surround by wonderful flowerbeds and fragrant roses, In the season there are a quantity of Fruit Trees for you to pick from. There is Outdoor Backgammon, Chess and a Boules Court where you can enjoy the favourite French pastime. Large Outdoor Swimming Pool 12m x 6m. Large Indoors Heated Pool 8m x 4m. Large barn converted to a Games facility offering Snooker, Pool and Table Tennis, this is where you can find the Indoor Pool. Sauna. TV Lounge with Satellite TV and DVD.

Sapin (Pine)

2 bedrooms, central heating. Sleeps 6-8.
A large apartment on one floor.
Two bedrooms, the largest with twin beds and bunk beds.
The second bedroom with en-suite facilities has a double bed.
There is a separate bathroom with a large shower, vanity unit and WC.
The lounge has an integral kitchen and dining area, also a comfortable sofa bed, and doors that open onto a sheltered patio.
The kitchen has a 4 burner stove with oven, washing machine and a large refrigerator.

Frene (Ash)
3 Bedrooms central heating. Sleeps 6-8. Two entrances from the terrace to split-levels. Ground floor with double bedroom. Bathroom with shower, WC, washbasin and washing machine. Lobby leading to lounge with integral kitchen/diner with all conveniences and a double sofa bed. On 1st floor there are two well appointed twin bedrooms and a second bathroom.

Chene (Oak)

4 Bedrooms central heating. Sleeps 9-11.
An apartment on two floors with two entrances.
Twin bedded bedroom on ground floor.
Bathroom with WC, shower, washbasin and washing machine.
Lounge with sofa bed, integral kitchen with all modern conveniences.

Notes on accommodation
All apartments have patio furniture and use of barbecue's, pools, table tennis, outdoor chess and backgammon, boules, and other sporting activities. All apartments have microwaves and are fully fitted to the last teaspoon. Duvet/blankets and pillows are supplied, per person. You can bring your own sheets and pillowcases or hire our linen at a very reasonable charge. A cot and a high chair are available on request.

Outside
Outdoor swimming pool (12 metres x 6 metres) is fenced off for security. Games facility offers: Indoor Heated 8 metres x 4 metres swimming pool. Sauna. Snooker, Pool, Table Tennis Tables. TV Lounge offering Satellite TV and DVD.

Coast/Beach
Beautiful beaches of Les Sables D'Olonne, La Tranche Sur Mer, Les Conches etc are approx 45 minutes drive. La Rochelle offers a beautiful harbour, Great seafood restaurants and a good beach and is 45 minutes drive.

Travel
La Rochelle airport is 45-minute drive. Nantes airport 1-hour drive, Poitiers airport is 1hr 10 min drive. Car hire is available at these airports. St Malo is an easy 3-hour drive. Caen is approx 4 hours and Cherbourg approx 5 hours drive.

Distances
Nearest town of Fontenay Le Comte is a 10-minute drive away. Mervent forest is a large wooded area ideal for picnics, walking, biking etc., Mervent has a manmade beach and is suitable for swimming and sailing. - this is approx 10 minutes. Puy Du Fou is approx 40 minutes drive.
Venice Vert with the canals is approx 20 minutes drive.
L'Hermenault village is 15-minute walk (1.5km).

Further details
La Grange is situated in rural surroundings. L'Hermenault village is very close and offers a bakery, butchers, tabac, supermarket, post office, 2 banks, dentist, and an English speaking Doctor. St Martins Des Fontaines is closer but offers no shops - but it has a bar and does good food.
