'Petite Barrerie' is situated in the Southern Charente close to Chalais and Aubeterre. The house sleeps 9 plus 2 cots and has ample space for 2 families. It is the ideal place for that quiet holiday, private, but in easy reach of all amenities.

| Bedrooms: | There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 of which has a balcony with table and chairs, 1 twin and 1 triple, 2 bunks and a single. All bedrooms have wardrobes and chest of drawers. |
| Bathrooms: | The 2 double and twin rooms have en-suite showers and toilets and there is also a family bathroom. All the showers are 1200mm stone based and glass fronted. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fitted with oak units, range style gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and drinks fridge. |
| Living Rooms: | Petite Barrerie has a large lounge with oak units, plenty of seating, sat TV, stereo, video, DVD and large number of games, DVDs, videos and books. The dining room seats 10 and is fully equipped. |

All towels and linen are included, for lets longer than 2 weeks we shall attend for cleaning every 2 weeks. |

Notes on accommodation
Petite Barrerie is ideally suited for families with children as there is plenty of safe space for them to run around. The pool is fenced with lockable sprung loaded gate for extra safety.
Accessibility
The house is suitable for a standard wheelchair as it is all on one level as is the access to the pool. For any more information please phone as the owner is a wheelchair user.
Outside
The house sits in 1.5 acres of mainly grass with a small wood. There are swings, slide, table tennis, darts, and a boule court. Bikes of various sizes are supplied along with a new 2 child trailer for the bikes. Sun beds are supplied for the pool area and there is a large covered BBQ. The pool is 12 x 6m and is 1.5m deep through out with entry by corner steps and is for the sole use of the house.
Coast/Beach
The river beaches of St Aulaye and Aubeterre are only 5 mins away by car, both have small restaurants, bar, ice creams etc. Both beaches are kept clean and dogs are not permitted through the summer.
Golf
There are a number of golf courses in the surrounding area within easy reach, the closest one being less than 20 mins away.
Travel
We are in the middle of a triangle for airports, all with car hire. Bordeaux is approx an hour to the west, depending on traffic round the city, Bergerac is 50 mins to the south, Angouleme is 40 mins to the north.
The Channel ports of Caen is 5.5 hours away, Calais 8 hours, and the Channel tunnel 7.5 hours. The times are using the splendid autoroute system, tolls, but time and fuel saved far outways the tolls. Plenty of places to pull off for fuel, lunch etc.
Distances
Chalais and Riberac are 15 mins away by car, the pretty village of Aubeterre with the tree covered square with it's restaurants is within 10 mins by car, easily reachable by bike on a summers day.
Further details
Chalais, Riberac and St Aulaye have large supermarkets, restaurants, bakers, doctors etc. plus a number of restaurants and specialist local producers.
Chalais and Riberac have large markets on Mondays and Friday.
We have a number of local Pineau, cognac and wine producers close by and the vineyards of St Emillion, Blaye, and other Bordeaux greats are within the hours drive. The cognac producers all run tours and tastings and are about an hour to the west.
