Within walking distance of local cafes, bars and restaurants. Within an hour’s drive to La Rochelle, Ile de Re, Les Sable D'Olonne and many beautiful sandy beaches.

Less than 1 hour's drive to La Rochelle, Ile de Re and Les Sable D'Olonne with many beautiful sandy beaches.

Travel
3 airports approx 1 hour away - La Rochelle, Nantes and Poitiers and all have car hire available. Nearest ferry port St Malo approx 3-4 hours drive, Calais approx 6-7 hours drive.

Le Monastere is centrally situated within the beautiful medievel village of Vouvant with its rampart walls and ancient tower. Larger towns of La Chataignerie and Fontenay Le Comte with supermarkets, banks are approx 10km and 14km away

Further details
Vouvant is famous for the number of artists that live and work in the village and there are therefore a number of artists galleries. The village also has 2 local restaurants a bar and cafe as well as a bakers, chemist and general store. There are also a number of quaint local produce/gift type shops.
