Comfortably sleeps 7 people in 4 bedrooms. Beautiful spacious traditional cottage with central heating and wood burning stove in charming french village. 50 minutes from Euro-tunnel (Le tunnel). Ideal situation for visiting the 12 miles of sandy beaches wonderful for children or for long walks or swimming. Water sport lessons available at the costal towns of Le Touquet, Stella Plage and Merlimont, all within 20 minutes drive. The countryside is full of walks, and the lanes are ideal for cyclists.There are many historical features in the area, including many First World War sites and Museums. Agincourt with its fascinating museum is a short drive away. The local walled town of Montreuil, made famous by Victor Hugo with Les Miserables hosts a son et lumiere in August, and is a stunning cobbled market town very proud of it flowers throughout the year. Golf, riding, tennis, canoeing, swimming all nearby. 2 theme parks for the children within 20 minutes. Plenty for all to do.

20 minutes from 3 beaches (and Le Touquet).
There is riding available at Inxent, which is 5 minutes from Estree, riding available in Le Touquet,Canoeing near Montreuil, 2 Theme Parks for children 20 minutes from Cottage.There is an Ostrich farm in our village, which is worth going to, a very good restaurant at the end of our road. There is a pleasant stroll round the lakes at the end our road.
Around Estree is a good area for cycling, including some cycling paths.
Golf
2 championship golf course 20 min away (Le Touquet).
Travel
50 minutes from Euro-tunnel (Le tunnel). Approx 1hr from Ferries.
Further details
Rose Cottage is situated in the Valley de la Course. We are very convenient for all amenities. There are a number of places you can visit including:
1. La Coupole where V1 and V2 rockets were built during WW2. This is approx 50 minutes from Estree, just before St. Omer. Also in St. Omer there is the Arques Crystal factory.
2. Agincourt is 15/20 minutes away.
3. Further afield, Amiens: The cathedral there is France's largest and it is close to the battlefields of the Somme. About 1.25 hrs drive. Further on is Albert, which is approx another 20mins on.
4. Thiepval: the memorial there commemorates more than 72,000 men, who have no known grave.
5. Other places of interest include: Giverny, Monet's famous garden. 2.5hrs drive away.
6. Lille, an historic town is 2hrs drive.
7. St Valery sur Somme: A picturesque fishing village at the estuary of the Somme. About 1hr drive.
8. Honfleur: Historic town & harbour. c.2.5hrs drive.

Mr& Mrs Williams & 2 friends: We have been going to Rose Cottage for the past 4 years. It is a home from home very comfortable. Lovely peaceful garden. Village is very nice lovely walks down by the lakes. Very convenient to go everywhere coming back next year.
Once again we have had a lovely holiday at Rose Cottage. Every time we come we explore new places and then we come back to relax in the garden. Our two grown up children love the cycling. This is the 5th year we have been coming. Roger & Jackie.
So many guests have said that they would like to come back again. We have been told that everything has been provided to make a pleasant holiday.
