Access to shared above ground pool (Child friendly & Secure) with mature gardens. Sitting just 200m away from the medieval town square that has an impressive choice of restaurants cafes, bars and shops. Eymet itself is ideally positioned as a good touring base for south west France and its Chateaux and vineyards. The beach is approx.1.5 hours & Spain approx 2 hours drive away.

Bedroom 1 with double bed. shower room and w.c, hairdryer. Well equipped kitchen, cooker, fridge, Kettle, Toaster etc. Iron and ironing board. Washing machine for use by guests in main house. Lounge/diner with double sofa bed, T.V free to view (British) DVD, C.D player. Bed linen and towels including pool towels are provided.Change will be provided at the start of 2nd week for two week bookings. Towels must not be removed from property grounds. |

Notes on accommodation
A cot is available on request however bedlinen is not supplied. The gite is a stone house with shutters so makes a wonderful cool retreat from the sun and during the winter months ( 1st Oct - 31 March) the gite is heated by oil central heating (heating is not included in the cost of the rental and must be paid for locally).
Accessibility
Even though on ground floor level. The bathroom, WC and pool unfortunately at the moment do not provide suitable access for wheelchair users. Please contact us with any questions you may have as we are happy to help.
Outside
The property provides a secure environment for children as fences and gates secure the gardens (as long as gates are secured by occupier).children must be supervised at all times around the pool area.
Outside there is private courtyard garden with table, chairs and umbrella, there is also a BBQ. Adjascent to the gites courtyard there is a gated entrance to the mature gardens and shared pool, 8x4m with sun loungers .There is also table tennis, swing ball, boules. We also have several adult bikes on-site(helmets are not provided) which are available on request at no extra cost. Within easy walking distance (3-4minutes approx.) of the ancient and historic 14th Century Bastide Square
Coast/Beach
The beautiful beaches of Arcachon, Biscarrosse and the magnificent 'Dune du Pilat' can be reached in approximately 1.5hrs by car.
Golf
There are 60 golf courses in South West France, the nearest being: Tombeboeuf, Golf de Barthe, Issigeac, Les Mirandes Golf and Country club, Monestier and Chateau Vigiers. Time wise, the nearest golf course is approximately 5-7 minutes drive away
Travel
Eymet is 20 mins from Bergerac airport with a variety of flights from the UK regional airports: Operated by: Ryanair, Flybe, BMIbaby from Stansted, Gatwick, Southampton, Exeter, Edinburgh, Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool, Leeds-Bradford. Bordeaux International 90 mins away. Operates by BA and Easyjet from: Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Bristol. Please note some flights are seasonal.

Distances
Eymet itself is steeped in culture and history. Alternativly there are many 12-14th bastide villages such as Monpazier, Issigeac and Duras found not far away. Bergerac a 20 minute drive from Eymet including Monbazillac Chateau. Or just 45 minutes drive away you will find the world famous St Emillion known for its many fine wines. Locally you will not only have the ease of supermarkets, bakers, butchers, hairdressers beauticians but also a tourist imformation, post office and several banks and estate agents and a few small art galleries. East you will find many UNESCO world heritage sites, Prehistoric sites of the Vezere Valley, cave paintings of Lascaux and many caves. Spectacular castles of Beynac and Castlenaud, you could also stop on route to visit medieval town of Salat, La Rogue - Gageac and Domme. An unspoilt region where you will see many birds of prey, deer and wild boar, vineyards and breathtaking views.
Booking notes
Deposit of 20% payable on booking within 7 days. We unfortunately cannot hold provisional bookings beyond this period. Full payment is due 6 weeks before departure date. If not received, we reserve the right to seek alternative booking with cancellation charges taking effect. More than 42 days 20%. 42 days or less 50%. A refundable deposit of £200 payable 6 weeks before arrival. 50 euro cleaning service at the end of stay deducted from deposit if property is not left clean and tidy as found.

About the owner
We moved to South West France for a change of lifestyle and the weather is certainly a strong reason to move here with temperatures regularly topping 30 degrees for most of the peak season. We have enjoyed the 'welcome' of the area and have made many and varied friends who are always on hand to help with things which may arise from living in a foreign country. As a family it has brought us closer as there is no more rushing around or traffic jams. Life is generally more 'laid back' now which has a very positive effect on health and general happiness/wellbeing. Would certainly recommend the move abroad to anyone considering a new 'challenge'.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
It ease of access from the UK being about 8-10 hrs drive to the Ports and Bergerac International airport 20 minutes away it brings visits to/from Family and friends within easy reach and less than a days travel. The areas weather is good all year round, yes there are 'seasons' but generally speaking the good days certainly outweigh the bad.
