Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds based on 2 people. For additional guests, there is an additional charge of £15 per person per week.
Changeover day
Changeover days are Saturday's however, flexible out of peak season.

Notes on accommodation
All the facilities and comforts you would expect at home have been provided in your holiday home so that you can relax and enjoy the French experience. Children over the age of 15 only please.

Secluded orchard garden with patio furniture and sun loungers for your use so that you can relax outside in your own privacy.
Travel
Nearest airports are either Angers or Tours - both of which are approx 50kms away. Cars can be rented from either.
From Calais the 360 mile journey takes approx 5 hours by using the traffic-free motorway systems available in France.
From Caen/Le Havre the 190 mile journey takes approx 3 hours. Arriving with Eurostar or flying into Paris, take the TGV train to St Pierre des Corps (near Tours) and either rent a car here or take a further train to Saumur.
Distances
Notre Petit Coin is situated in a quiet village. The next village has a restaurant, Tabac, small shop. Larger supermarkets and restaurants are just 3 miles away in Montreuil-Bellay or 5 miles in Thouars. You are only 15 miles from the famous capital city of the Loire Valley, Saumur as well as the other chateaux and historic attractions in the area including many hundreds of vineyards.
Further details
One of the best ways of experiencing the Loire Valley is to visit the local towns and their famous chateaux. Check out when the local markets are on and soak up the French culture. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the restaurants and watch the world go by. Everywhere you go in the Loire, there will be a vineyard within view - so be brave, and drive down the drive and go and try some of the local wines before buying them. This is great fun, but remember to have a designated driver as there are many vineyards to choose from!
Booking notes
To make a booking, please e-mail the owner on the link below. 50% of the booking fee is due at the time of booking, with the remaining due 8 weeks prior to arrival. For those booking within 8 weeks of their arrival the full payment becomes due. We require a £200 security deposit per week, also payable with the balance payment 8 weeks prior to arrival. This deposit will be returned within 4 weeks after your holiday.

About the owner
Hello. We are Carol and Carl Mills. We live in a village north of Basingstoke in Hampshire. We both work for a global company - Carl is in Marketing and Carol is in Training. We fell in love with the Loire Valley when we first visited the area a few years ago. We loved the French culture, the scenery, the chateaux, the vineyards and the pace of life. So we decided that we wanted a piece of this for ourselves and decided to buy a house.
The peaceful village location gives us a real feeling for French life, even though all the amenities are within easy reach. Our neighbours are great - always friendly and helpful. We love staying at the house. Every time time we visit, we discover more about the area and learn more about the French way of life. Our dream is to retire there one day.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We first viewed Notre Petit Coin (Our Little Corner) in March 2008 and we knew this house was for us. It became ours in June 2008. This idyllic peaceful village location gives you a real feeling of the French way of life. There are shops, restaurants, bakers, etc in nearby villages and all the tourist attractions are within easy reach from the house - making this an ideal spot for your holiday. The countryside is stunning. If you visit in July, you will see the fields of sunflowers everywhere you go, along with the vines and grapes starting to grow. You will also see the pretty Loire villages and chateaux on the skyline too. Follow the Loire river for miles taking in the stunning villages on the way - look out for the 12th century troglodyte dwellings too.

Once Notre Petit Coin became ours, we spent the rest of year renovating and updating it to the highest standard, whilst keeping its French charm with original stone walls, exposed beams and fireplaces. Both bedrooms have wonderful views of the Loire countryside and neighbouring vineyard. Our aim was to make Notre Petit Coin a home from home with a feeling of luxury and as well as cosiness too, allowing our guests to relax and enjoy the French way of life. There is a private garden that you can also relax in and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area. Just behind the house is a local vineyard that you may wish to visit to ‘deguster' some of Laurent Poisson's excellent wines at a great price - and you don't need to drive home! We look forward to welcoming you to Notre Petit Coin.
