Coast/Beach
We are between the Med and the Atlantic. The locals say 2 hrs to either, however we know if you'd like to enjoy the drive it takes 2 1/2 hrs at least to the Med.

Travel
Nearest airport is Toulouse-Easyjet/BA/Air France approx 1hr.
Other airports Carcasonne/Rodez approx 1 1/2 hrs.
TGV train to Toulouse then on to Albi.
Drive from Calais is approx 9hrs.
Car (hire) recommended to explore the region thoroughly.
Distances
Our village is 2km away, a 20 mins countryside walk to collect fresh bread from the boulangerie/collect supplies from the village shops.
Albi is 10mins drive away. Millau/Roquefort 1 1/2 hrs drive.
Local Bastides/medieval villages between an easy 20mins - 1hr. Toulouse approx 1hr by car or train.
Further details
We may in the heart of unspoilt France but all the modern amenities are close if you need them...supermarkets banks, pharmacies. If you prefer there is everything you would need in the village or you can visit the local farmers markets for food & vineyards/caves for wine. There are seasonal fetes and festivals during the year. Active sports are available close by - canoe-kayaking, an outdoor multi-sports complex in Albi, horse riding and more (as above). For a little culture St Cecile cathedral in Albi will take your breath away. Visit the Toultouse Lautrec museum next door, then discover Albi's woad history by popping into the 'pastel' shop a short stroll away. Local artisans sell their wares at the markets and independent shops.
Booking notes
20% deposit required at time of booking please. Balance due 8 wks before arrival. On arrival we will require a loss/damage deposit cheque, which will be returned after your departure. Euros and sterling accepted.
