Le Pressoir is our beautiful thatched Normandy holiday home. Originally a cider press, it dates back to the 17th century. It lies in secluded grounds of 2 acres with it's own private pool on the outskirts of the market town of Beuzeville. Beuzeville provides everything you would expect from a small French market town - 3 supermarkets, some nice bars/restaurants, an assortment of shops including bakers and butchers and a weekly open air market. Le Pressoir is perfectly located for exploring the lovely Normandy countryside. The charming port of Honfleur is just 15 minutes away by car while the stylish seaside resort of Deauville is 25 minutes drive. The cities of Rouen and Caen are easily accessible while Paris/Disneyland is just over 2 hours by car or train. The house is arranged over 2 floors with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 en-suite to ground floor master bedroom) and a huge open plan living/dining area measuring some 50 sq.m with a wonderful open fire place.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. All rentals are inclusive of utility bills, linen/towels. Whilst we do not charge extra for a final clean, we ask that guests leave the house in a clean and tidy condition.
Changeover day
Changevoer day is Saturday although we will try to accommodate other days if we can. Guests are to arrive no earlier than 4pm on the day of arrival and must vacate the property by 11am on the day of deparature.

Outside
Le Pressoir is peacefully located in the heart of extensive, mature grounds of 2 acres. There are numerous lawned areas and many trees and bushes. At the rear of the house is a private swimming pool measuring 10x4m (approx) surrounded by a security fence. The pool was extensively refurbished in 2011 with a brand new liner and new tiling and is normally open May to September albeit this is weather dependent. There is a large wooden gazebo for outdoor dining, a small children's playhouse, a children's swing and slide and a table tennis table. On site, we provide a barbecue, outdoor table/chairs and various children's play equipment including paddling pool, boules, badminton.
Coast/Beach
Le Pressoir is 15 minutes by car from the coast at Honfleur. Honfleur has a sandy beach and there are numerous lovely seaside resorts along the stretch of coast between Honfleur and Caen. Notable resorts include Deauville/Trouville (25 minutes by car), Houlgate and Cabourg. In the other direction, the stunning cliffs at Etretat are around 40 minutes drive away.
Golf
The are some good golf courses within easy reach of Le Pressoir. A few of the best are:- Golf de Etretat, Golf de St Julien Pont L'Eveque, Golf de Deauville, Golf de St Gatien.
Travel
Le Pressoir is easily accessible by car or ferry. Le Havre ferry port is 30 minutes (35km) drive. Dieppe is 1 hr 20 mins (118km). Ouistreham (Caen) ferry port is 45 mins (75km). Calais/Eurotunnel is 2 hrs 30 mins (280km). Deauville St Gatien airport is 20 minutes away. To really enjoy this region, a car is preferable. There are good train services to Paris, Rouen and Caen. Our nearest stations are at Pont L'Eveque, Lisieux or Bernay.
Distances
Beuzeville is 15 minutes walk away. Honfleur is 15 minutes drive (15km). Deauville/Trouville are 25 minutes by car (30km). Rouen is 50 minutes away (70km). Caen is 40 minutes (65km). Paris is 2 hours (180km).
Further details
Beuzeville itself has much to offer in terms of restaurants, shops and banks. For food we particularly recommend Pappa Joe's (for pizza/pasta) or Le Cochon D'Or for more traditional Norman cuisine. There are 3 supermarkets in town (Carrefour, Intermarche and Point Co-op) with large LeClerc stores at Honfleur, Le Havre and Lisieux. Le Pressoir is conveniently located for enjoying the numerous activities in and around this area. For example, there are golf courses at Deauville as well as regular horse racing and polo and sailing. Children will enjoy the lovely sandy beaches all along this coast as well as amusement parks such as Festyland, Parc Bocasse and of course, Disneyland Paris. There are great zoos at Cerza near Lisieux and Jurques to the west of Caen. For those interested in history, there is the Bayeux tapestry, interesting castles at both Falaise and Caen and the D-Day beaches.
Booking notes
A non refundable deposit equivalent to 25% of the cost of the holiday is payable at the time of booking. The balance is payable no less than 10 weeks before the start of the holiday. A booking form and conditions will be sent on receipt of a booking request.
