To wake up in the morning looking straight out to the waters that glisten and shadow the surrounding houses is like waking up in a fairytale story. Sometimes you just do not want to get out of bed! Having the Boulangerie next door is lethal for us and all that come to stay but its like a magnet drawing you in with the beautiful cakes and pastries and homemade breads...there is one strict rule in our home and that is 'no dieting'. So what are you waiting for...come and join us for the most magical experience of your life whether its just for a weekend break, honeymoon or property searches or even a treat for a family member.

Changeover day
Arrival times are by prior arrangement. Please contact Rhiannon to arrange. Check-out time is no later than 10.30am on your morning of departure.
Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms have european satellite television and radio, tea and coffee making facilities and even the use of the honesty fridge stocked with wines, beer and water...you are just not going to want to leave! Dinner is available (24 hours notice) @ €24 per person including wine.

The Nantes-Brest Canal runs in front of the property, providing opportunities for cycling, walking, fishing and sailing. Restaurant, bakery and bars are in the village. Only 2km to picturesque Châteaulin (with hypermarkets, bars and restaurants). Situated in the National Parc Armorique with numerous beautiful beaches on the bay of Douarnenez.
Coast/Beach
Bay of Douarnenez - If it's beaches you like, then you can choose one a day for a fortnight and still not have seen them all. The nearest is Pentrez with 5 kilometres of flat sandy beach plus shops and cafes. St-Anne-la-Palud has one bar in the middle of 3km of sand and a Michelin starred restaurant at the southern end.

Golf courses at Brest (35km) and Carhaix (25km).
Travel
Ferry info - Plymouth to Roscoff (1 hour from Port Launay). Poole to Cherbourg (4 hours from Port Launay). Weymouth to St Malo (2.5 hours from Port Launay). Poole to St Malo (2.5 hours from Port Launay).
A discount with Brittany Ferries is available, please ask for details before making your travel booking.
Flight info - Flybe operate flights from UK to Brest in Brittany (40 minutes away). Easyjet and Ryanair also operate flights to Brittany.

Steve and Graham are the owners of The Old Salt House Bed & Breakfast, but due to business commitments, they now live back in the UK.
Rhiannon is the house manager who lives at the house, looking after all the guests. Rhiannon also deals with all the bookings and anything regarding the Bed & Breakfast.
