The barn has been renovated to a very high standard and is situated in a suburb rural location, yet within five minutes drive of large supermarkets, banks, restaurants etc. Lac de Guerledan, the 8 mile long lake with it's many safe and sandy beaches and the Nantes to Brest Canal are just a short drive away. Both of these offer many sporting activities such as horse riding, water skiing, canoeing and cycling. The cottage has been designed to accommodate families with children of all ages with a private and safe garden to play in. The pool is heated with a solar system and a heat pump. Altogether an ideal base for exploring central Brittany as virtually every tourist attraction is within an hours easy travelling distance.

Changeover day
Throughout June, July and August changeover day is on a Sunday and rental periods will be for 7 or 14 nights. For the rest of the year we are flexible on changeover days and lengths of stay.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a pine king size double bed.
Bedroom 2 has twin pine beds.
Bathrooms: Fully tiled bathroom with bath and overhead body massage shower, sink and wc.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a good range of floor and wall units in a shaker style with an integrated dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven. There is a gas hob unit and large separate fridge freezer. Also included is a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster.
Living Rooms: The lounge area is furnished with two comfortable sofas and matching pine furniture. There is a 32" flat screen LCD television with English TV along with a video and DVD player.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bed linen is provided for your stay in the cottage along with English pillows (not the hard French ones). We also provide t-towels but you will need to bring your own towels. All cleaning materials including dishwasher tablets are included.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms have electric heating so this cottage can be used all year round but heating is not included in the rental price. The cottage is child friendly and all baby equipment is available free of charge including a selection of indoor toys/board games and books. We have also provided some plastic plates, cups and glasses for young children so no need to bring your own.

Outside
The swimming pool is approximately 28 foot long and 12 foot wide and is heated with a heat pump and solar system so it can be kept at a regular temperature. The swimming pool is only shared with ourselves and we have two boys aged 6 and 14 who will tend to only use the pool when guests are out. We do try and give anybody staying at the cottage sole use of the pool during their holiday. The wooden pool decking is at pool level and there is ample sun loungers, a set of table and chairs and sun umbrellas. We have provided a charcoal bbq for guests use.
The remaining part of the garden has been laid to lawn for children to play, and you will find some outside games in the cottage.
Pool is open from end of May till mid September.
The barn has it's own separate driveway and parking with the garden mainly lawns for children to play. As we are situated in a quiet area you can walk safely from the barn along the country roads where you will often see deer & a multitude of other wild animals.

Coast/Beach
The 3 coastlines of Brittany are all within 1 hours drive away and each offering different landscapes.The beautiful Lac de Guerledan is only 10 mins drive away which has many safe sandy beaches which are ideal for young children as some also provide shade. Many water sports are offered on the lake including water ski. The Nantes to Brest canal is within a five minute drive and here you can hire bikes and cycle along the old tow path. This is one of the most beautiful places in Brittany.

Travel
St Malo and Roscoff ports are 1 1/2 hours drive away. Cherbourg and Caen are 3 1/4 and 3 hours away respectively, but it is not like travelling on UK roads. Dinard and Brest Airports are about an hour and a quarter. For those travelling from Ireland Lorient Airport is also about an hour and a quarter.

Distances
Our local village is 3kms away. The nearest large town of Rostrenen is less than 10 mins drive away, and here you will find 4 supermarkets.

Further details
For those that like playing tennis there are indoor and outdoor tennis courts about 5 minutes drive away which and free of charge.

Booking notes
To confirm a booking we require a non refundable deposit of 25% and the outstanding balance 8 weeks before your arrival date. A booking form will need to be completed which we will e-mail to you . A £150 security deposit is required and a £40 end of term cleaning fee will be deducted from the deposit unless you have agreed with us you will clean the cottage ready for the next guests.
Electricity will be charged for rentals from mid September till mid May at the unit price.
