Villa Fontaine is a very modern, bright villa set in a large garden with stunning mountain views. It is very child friendly with a shallow pool and plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. All 4 bedrooms are air-conditioned and enjoy beautiful views of the garden, pool and mountains. The villa is located in the quiet Provencal village of Roquefort Les Pins which is only 10 minutes from the medieval village of Valbonne and 20 minutes from Nice International Airport. There is a local supermarket, bakeries, banks, fruit and vegetable shops, excellent pizza places, beauty salon, hairdressers etc. In addition there are a number of close by restaurants.

Changeover day
Bookings are taken on a weekly basis, starting and ending on Saturdays. Check-in time is 4pm, and check-out time is 10am.

For all periods of rental, linen, towels and pool towels are included together with the final cleaning. A welcome with basic essentials is also included. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has 4 large air-conditioned bedrooms all overlooking the garden and pool and with stunning mountain views. There are plenty of activities to keep the children busy outside. There is a play area with monkey bars, swing and see-saw set upon rubber tiles, a 'Wendy house' to play in, a hammock to relax in, table tennis table, and a 14' enclosed trampoline. The property is situated at the end of a private cul de sac, ensuring peace and quiet. The villa is fully alarmed, has electric gates and the entire property is completely fenced in providing a secure, private environment. Children are welcome, we have a highchair, travel cot etc. Babysitting can be arranged.

Accessibility
The house is accessed via a flight of stairs. There is a bedroom with en-suite shower room on the ground floor, so once down the initial stairs, one could get away without using the stairs while in the house.
Outside
There is a beautiful 5,000sq.m garden. Large 300sq.m flat lawn is perfect for the kids. A football goal is available, along with a badminton set and a driving net. Beyond the lawn is a fruit orchard and beyond that, a private forest for the kids to explore. There are beautiful flower beds and a tasty vegetable garden to enjoy. A lovely terrace with two sofas is positioned high up to catch the last of the afternoon rays. It enjoys magnificent views overlooking the valleys and mountains and is a perfect spot to enjoy sundowners, or take an afternoon siesta. The gardens are maintained weekly and there is an automatic watering system taking care of all the plants. There is an 11x4.5m rectangular swimming pool 5 metres from the house. It is fully fenced and alarmed. The pool is 90cm at the shallow end and ideal for families with small kids paddling or learning to swim. There is a large poolside terrace with a table and chairs for dining by the pool and lounge chairs for sunbathing.
Coast/Beach
The coast is 15 minutes drive. The closest beaches are at Cagnes Sur Mer and Villeneuve Loubet. A 20 minute drive will take you to the famous Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The closest sandy beaches are either Antibes, Cannes or Theoule Sur Mer where you can either use the public beaches or pay to use the private beaches.
Golf
There are many superb golf courses in the immediate vacinity. Opio Valbonne Golf Course is 7 minutes away. Grande Bastide in Opio is 10 minutes away. Royal Mougins Golf Club and Cannes Mougins Golf Club is 20 minutes away. Villeneuve Loubet is 5 minutes away.
Travel
Nice International Airport is the closest airport and is a 15 minute drive from the house. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road which goes from Grasse to Nice (stopping at the airport) but it is recommended that you have your own car to get around.
Distances
St Paul de Vence and Vence are a 20 minute drive.
Roquefort Les Pins is a 5 minute drive.
Valbonne is a 10 minute drive.
Mougins is a 20 minute drive.
Monaco is a 40 minute drive.
Further details
There are plenty of activities for young and old in the area. There is a weekly market in the village on Wednesdays, one in Valbonne on Fridays, plenty of Galleries to visit in both Mougins and St Paul de Vence (both 20 mins drive), an adventure playground for children and adults 5 minutes down the road, endless scenic drives to explore in all directions, and only 15 minutes to the beach.
Booking notes
A deposit payment by cheque or bank transfer of 30% of the total cost is required on booking. It is not refundable but exchangeable for other dates if available. The final balance is required 8 weeks before the arrival date. A deposit of 1200 euros is also taken to cover telephone, damage or breakages.
