We are slightly inland but the great surfing beaches of the Atlantic coast are only 40 miles away. You can go to Spain for the day too! (on a clear day you can see the Pyrenees from our property.) The nearest town of Mugron boasts 2 supermarkets, 2 bakers, 2 butchers, a takeaway pizza place, post office, bar in the square etc. This property lends itself to a complete break. There is no 'night life' but, if you wish, you can go to the larger towns of Dax or Mont de Marsan. A day trip to Pau or Lourdes is possible. This is very much a family home. We have all our board games, cards etc. for the odd dull day!

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Please vacate the house by 10am in order for a thorough cleaning before the next guests. Arrival is negotiable but, in general, should not be earlier than 3pm.

All towels, bed linen, tea towels and dishcloths are included plus cleaning fluids, soap etc. No one disturbs you during your stay. Naturally the house is cleaned before your arrival. A discreet time is arranged for the swimming pool to be cleaned. |

Notes on accommodation
Very user-friendly for children with games, cards etc. The kitchen looks over to the pool area and there is a field and woods to play in. Birdfeeders and food are provided on the balcony and regular visitors are woodpeckers, marsh tits, nuthatches, blue tits, great tits, robins etc. All kitchen equipment is of a high standard.
Accessibility
There are steps up to the entrance of the house but inside is all on one level.
Outside
Completely secluded and fenced off pool 10 metres by 5 metres. It features a beautifully designed pagoda with adjustable blinds under which you may sit if you wish to keep out of the sun. There is electricity and lighting, a barbecue, loungers, a table.
Coast/Beach
Approximately 50 miles to the wide sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast. The famous surfing beach of Hossegor, just North of Biarritz is approx. 60 miles away.
Travel
Biarritz airport is 60 miles away, Bordeaux airport is 100 miles north. Bergerac airport is 125 miles north east.
The Spanish port of Santander can be accessed by Brittany ferries and then you can drive north to us. Caen is 550 miles north. Use of a car is necessary.
Distances
Mugron is 4 kilometres away. Dax is 25 kilometres away. Mont de Marsan is 25 kilometres away. The lake is 2 kilometres away.
Further details
Cycle hire is available from Montfort (10 kilometres away). There is a wonderful Auberge down the road which caters at lunchtime and produces really good, reasonably priced food.
The 'Moulin de Poyaller' (4 kilometres away) has wild deer etc. and is worth a visit.
Booking notes
Conditions:
Payment can only be accepted in pounds sterling or euros.
A non-returnable deposit of £100 must accompany all bookings, together with a refundable damage deposit of £150; the balance must be paid at latest 6 weeks before your holiday start date. Later bookings can be taken but must be accompanied by full payment at time of booking. There is a downloadable form on our website.

Guests 1: Thank you for a lovely holiday at your wonderful Le Terré. The children loved the pool and xxx and I loved the calm countryside and the birds and the space. The weather for us was good and we were able to play a few games of Buccaneer. We hired bicycles in Montfort from the Tourist office and that worked well thank you for the details.
Guest 2: Sadly we are now back tuned in to grey England, but have wonderful memories of Le Terre. Everything was great, especially a scrupulously cleaned pool and excellent bird life.
