Avalec is a traditional Breton Manoir situated in a beautiful and tranquil hamlet on the outskirts of Plumeliau. It is a beautifully restored house comprising of 4 large bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 12 people. All bedrooms are en-suite. A spacious living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and shower room complete the downstairs accommodation. In addition there is a 10x4 pool in over an acre of landscaped gardens. A play area is also provided. Located in a peaceful rural setting Avalec is in the Blavet valley, famous for its fishing and water based activities. Lac de Guerledan is 30 minutes away and is open all year for swimming and inland water sports. It’s a must for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. Rimmaison golf resort is a mere 5 minutes away! If that all sounds too energetic the beaches of southern Brittany are only 30 minutes away. If shopping is your thing, then the historic market towns of Baud, Pontivy, Vannes and Auray are all a short drive way.

Prices per week is in UK Pounds. Special rates available for longer lets. Flexible starts and finishes and single and small family discounts may be available outside peak periods. Please contact owners for details. Logs available for purchase during colder months.
The pool will not be in use from October 1st till May 28th.

Changeover day
This is usually a Saturday to Saturday let, but can be flexible during off peak. Time of booking in, after 4pm. Time of booking out 10am. All bookings of 14 nights get full linen change and clean half way through the hire.

Bedrooms: All bedrooms have 1 king size bed and a single sofa bed, with plenty of room for a cot too
Bathrooms: En-suite facilities to all bedroom - two bedrooms have shower and WC, two bedrooms have bath/shower over, WC and bidet.
Shower with WC downstairs.
Kitchen: The modern but traditional French kitchen has every thing you would need to enjoy your holiday! See equipment list below.
Living Rooms: Spacious lounge / dining room. Comfortable 2 and 3 seater sofas plus an arm chair. Breton 12 foot table with chairs, side table and dresser. Television with video and DVD player and X box. Traditional stone fireplace with log burner. Library and toys too.
Other: Large welcoming entrance hall with space to put buggy/shoes/beach items. A toilet and shower room are off the entrance hall.

Notes on accommodation
Bottled gas for cooking is provided and is included in the rental fees. Very child friendly, stair gates provided, large nursery fireguard, 2 cots, 2 highchairs, Baby monitor, all available at no extra charge.

Outside
The property is set in over an acre of landscaped gardens. Much of this is lawn, and is very suitable for children to play safely. The house has large gates that can be shut for added safety; it also has a designated parking area. We also offer a play area with swings and see-saw. Garden furniture to seat 12, sun loungers by the pool and a barbeque are also included. The pool and garden is for the sole use of the guests. The pool is protected by a fence and follows French safety guidelines.

Coast/Beach
30 minutes to Port Louis. 45 minutes to Carnac.

Golf
There are a number of excellent golf course close by.

Special interest holidays
Cycling trips can be arranged. We have contacts with private fishing lakes close by.

Travel
Low cost operators fly to Dinard, Brest and Nantes, are all 1.5 hours drive away. Brittany ferries/Ld lines sail to St Malo, Le Havre, Cherborg, Rosscoff and Caen. Distances vary from a 2 hour drive to a 4 hours drive. A vehicle is essential for exploring the region.

Further details
The village of Plumeliau is 3km away, there you can find two large supermarkets, a post office, bars, a restaurant, pharmacy, boulangerie and a garage. There is also a village and play area. Around the village ia a circular walk through picturesque countryside and a sensory garden. A short drive in to the historic town of Pontivy and there is an array of places to eat and lots to see.

Booking notes
30% deposit will be payable on confirmation of booking. The balance plus security deposit of £200, is payable 8 weeks prior to departure date.

Excellent holiday, beautiful house and gardens with an abundance of wildlife, loved waking up to the birdsong. This was a lovely area with lots to do and explore. would definitely come back again.
