Skiing
Les Carroz d'Araches is a traditional alpine village in the heart of the Grand Massif area. Skiing height 1140-2500 metres. The resort is linked to the huge Grand Massif (Samoens, Morrillon, Sixt and Flaine) and provides extensive skiing for all levels. The gondola and chair lift go straight up to the Grand Massif area. Ski Area: Grand Massif 265km, 77 lifts; 133 slopes (15 green, 53 blue, 51 red and 14 black). Non-skiers also have plenty to do. Choose from air balloon flights, dog sledging, indoor tennis, ice skating and snow shoe outings.
Travel
Geneva Airport within 1 hour drive. Driving distance from Calais: 539 miles or 7 hours 30 minutes. Car hire is not essential due to the village centre location and ease of access to shuttle bus services. Local taxis can be booked in advance for airport collections.

Further details
There are many interesting pavement cafes and shops to browse and a good selection of supermarkets and banking facilities. The tourist information and ski pass office is just on the opposite side of the square. The childcare facilities in Les Carroz are excellent with a superb creche for 0-3 yrs just 5 minutes walk away and a club for the older ones just 8 minutes away where they offer a pick-up and collection from the local ski schools. (We have used both for our own children and highly recommend). There is also a playground and ice skating rink next door to the apartment.
Booking notes
We will hold bookings provisionally for 7 days until we receive a completed booking form and the required deposit payment. Deposit 25% of rental price. Balance 75% of rental price to be received within 12 weeks of arrival date. Security deposit £400 to be received with balance payment and refundable in full after satisfactory check-out.
Guest comments
We had a fantastic time in Les Carroz, the skiing was excellent and the village was perfect for our requirements. The apartment was everything we hoped it would be, plenty of space for our two families, great facilities and the position could not be better. In the evening, being able to stroll around the village straight from the front door was excellent and the shuttle bus to the lift station being so close was perfect for us and the children each morning.When we return to Les Carroz, our first choice would certainly be Les Cristallières if available.
