A ski locker is provided at ground floor level, from which you exit directly onto the main street. Up a short flight of stairs or a slope and you are on the piste, with access to the main 4 man chair as well as other lifts and pistes. Linking directly to Valloire and opening up your access to 150+kms of varied skiing. Resort height and snow cannons mean that you have a choice of routes home. If you have a car, you also have access to the Three Valleys and many other smaller resorts. The village boasts a surprising number of amenities - several good restaurants, serving everything from pizza to pierrade - a multi-lane bowling alley, with pool tables and bar - purpose built ice rink - two screen cinema - several supermarkets (one of them in the same building as the apartment) and a variety of smaller shops. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (with a lift) offering superb views of the pistes from the balcony and spacious living room.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds (has room for a travel cot, if required).
Bedroom 3 with 2 sets of bunk beds (sleeping 4).
There is the option to sleep two people on sofa beds in the lounge.
Bathrooms: Main bathroom with shower over bath.
Separate shower room with WC (and washing machine/dryer).
Another separate WC.
Kitchen: 4 ring hob, mini oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, slow cooker, kettle and all the cutlery and crockery, etc that you will need.
Utility Room: Washing machine/dryer is in the shower room.
There is a ski locker on the ground floor.
Living Rooms: Spacious, bright and airy with access to the large balcony the main room incorporates living, dining and kitchen areas.
The large dining table comfortably seats 8/10.
The sofa can be converted to 2 single beds or 1 double bed.
TV, satellite, DVD, radio
Other: Balcony overlooks the main piste and has table and chairs.
The area below the balcony is used for a variety of events - kids' entertainments, promotional ski trials, etc.
It is an ideal place to watch ski races, etc.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and bed linen are not normally provided, but arrangements can be made for the hire of any items (they will be in the apartment on arrival and collected on departure).
Travel cots can also be provided if required.

Skiing
Valmeinier 1800 is directly linked to both Valmeinier 1500 and Valloire, offering 150 kms of varied skiing. With the lifts and pistes just outside the apartment building, you can ski out and ski home easily.
The resort height and snow cannon pretty well guarantee a smooth run home on a wide variety of runs.
The resort has plenty to offer begineers, intermediates and experienced skiers.
Ski school and the nursery slopes are almost on the doorstep!
The Orelle cable car (linking to Val Thorens and the 3 Valleys) is approx 30-40 minutes away by car.
Val Frejus, Val Cenis, Karrelis and many other resorts are also easily accessible by car.

Travel
Nearest airport is Chambery (95 kms), with Lyon and Grenoble being about a 2 hour drive.
Nearest train station is St Michel/Valloire, from where you can get a bus up to resort.
There are direct coach links at weekends form major airports.
By road, the A43 autoroute takes you to within 15 kms of the resort.
From Channel ports, about 900 kms (600 miles).

Distances
Valloire - 20-30 minutes by car (quicker to ski!?)
St Michel and St Jean de Valloire 30-45 minutes by car.
Annecy, Lyon, Grenoble, Geneva are all within a 2 hour drive.

Further details
Valmeinier 1800 doesn't have a bank but does have 2 cashpoint machines - there are banks in Valloire or St. Michel.
Supermarkets, local produce, bakeries and butchers as well as ski shops are situated throughout the village - as are restaurants, bars etc.
Valloire hosts international snow and ice sculpting competitions.
It is possible to go on organised snow shoe walks, ride in a husky drawn sled, parapent or microlight.

Booking notes
Enquiries by 'phone or email (in English or French) will be dealt with promptly.
A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking.
We require the balance and a 200 euro security deposit a month before the rental period.
The rental deposit and balance are paid (in euros) by the renter directly into a french bank account. The security deposit should be sent as a cheque, which will be returned after the apartment has been checked and the keys have been returned.
