Le Puy offers totally tranquility and is set in the middle of our private 500 acre hunting estate. The farmhouse, lodge and chateau apartment share a large pool with sun-deck, fitness center and the exclusive use of the entire estate. The local village is a 5 minute drive away for the morning croissant run, with a great selection of restaurants within easy reach. Lake Vassiviere is a 10 minute drive away offering water sports and beaches for swimming. We have an abundance of wildlife for you to see, as well as over 10km of paths to explore, without leaving the estate. So whether you just want to chill by the pool or get out and about, Le Puy is the perfect place for your holiday. In October we're offering deer stalking courses and you can also come and see the stages rut - a real sight to behold. We also offer clay pigeon shooting sessions by appointment.

Notes on prices
Please note that Easter week is £100 extra in each property. The price includes everything you need apart from logs for the fire and heating should you wan it on. We do the cleaning - all we ask is that you leave the place tidy when you leave.
Changeover day
Saturday from 3pm. House to be vacated by 10am.

The large living room with wood burner and beamed ceiling leads on to the dining room and the separate well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. French doors open from the kitchen to an alfresco eating area. Upstairs are 3 good sized bedrooms with high ceilings and antique white-washed beams. There is a family bathroom as well as an additional shower room. Both houses share a utility room with washer and tumble dryer. There is a quality CD player as well as DVD and satellite. |

The Chateau Apartment (Sleeps 4, 2 Bedrooms)

This stunning apartment takes up the entire top floor of our 16th century chateau. The main living area combines loft style living with the architectural features of this lovely old building. There's a huge seating area as well as large dining area with far reaching views over the estate. The galley style kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and microwave. The main bedroom has its own stunning Fired Earth equipped wet-room and over looks the chateau grounds. There is an additional bedroom and family bathroom. This is the ultimate in chateau chic and would make an ideal romantic getaway. The apartment is accessed via a beautiful stone spiral staircase with it's own front door from the ground floor. There's also a private outside area for sunbathing and BBQing. |

Accessibility
Each property has steep stairs and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Outside
Each of the properties has it's own distinct and private outside area for barbecuing or alfresco dining. The large pool (7x12m) is solar heated and shared. The grounds of the properties are one of the major reasons for going there and feature over 500-acres of private deer estate for you to explore with over 12km of private trails through woods and pastures. Deers, mouflon goats, sheep, ducks, hens, buzzards, the selection of animals to spot is amazing!
Coast/Beach
The beaches of Lake Vassiviere are a 15 minute drive away. The lake is one of the largest in France and has some large sandy beaches and a range of water sports, walks and restaurants. There is a gallery and sculpture park at the lake.
Golf
There is a golf course 10 minutes drive away at Bourganeuf.
Skiing
Skiing at Mont D'Or is a easy 90 minute drive away offering some decent skiing and snowboarding. We've been there many times and the apres ski is fun too.
Special interest holidays
We're starting to offer special holidays featuring Deer Stalking and Rutting Season observation breaks from October 2010. We've got over 100 deer on the site including some magnificent stags. Please contact us for full details on this! We also offer Clay Pigeon shooting sessions by arrangement.
Travel
Limoges airport is an hours drive away. Driving time from Calais is around 7 hours or 6.5 hours from Dieppe.
Distances
The local village is 5km away, with shops and restaurants. The nearest supermarket is 12km away.
Further details
Several interesting towns nearby with local markets, restaurants and ancient buildings. Horse riding is available locally and we offer clay pigeon shooting lessons.
