The house was featured in TV’s popular ‘A Place in the Sun’ in January 2003 (with subsequent repeats!). It sleeps 6, having one twin and 2 double bedrooms and a first floor living and dining area with double opening French windows. The luxury master bedroom on the top floor has a silk canopied ceiling as well as material wallcoverings. Acquired by the current owners in 2003, the house has been newly furnished and has new kitchen equipment, giving the house has a definite Provençal feel. The house is in the centre of Ste Croix du Verdon, a village from which the Lac du Ste Croix, a huge lake surrounded by beaches, takes its name. A typically interesting old Provençal hilltop village in an idyllic part of a Natural Park with sporting and other facilities, and close to the spectacular Gorge du Verdon, the largest Gorge in Europe, and often referred to as the second Grand Canyon.

It is a short walk down to the beaches, which are sand and pebble, and are lifeguarded in the high season. There is a sailing school in the village which offer courses or hiring of boats and windsurfers. There are also electric/pedalo hire boats etc available from the village.

Nearby Moustier, with its star strung between two mountains behind, is an attractive and lively small town.

Guest comments
"We found the house to be of a high standard with all modern appliances, but still maintaining the feel of a real french house. You will not be disappointed with the house or the surroundings, the lake is absolutely beautiful with its turquise water. It is an area we certainly want to revisit" (Mrs J Gillies and family)
