Changeover day is Saturday, although this is flexible in low season. Arrival after 4pm, departure by 10am.

Bedrooms: The Manoir has 5 bedrooms and is arranged as 4 doubles* (2 with kingsize beds) and a twin bedded room.Travel cot(s) and an extensive range of baby equipment can be provided on request. *One of double rooms can be changed to a twin if required.
Bathrooms: There are 3 bathrooms. 1 on the ground floor with double shower, wc and basin, 1 on the first floor with roll top bath, shower wc and basin and 1 en-suite on the second floor with double shower, wc and basin.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, American fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, combination coffee maker, hand blender, quality crockery and utensils, washing machine (housed in ground floor bathroom).
Living Rooms: Comfortable and tranquil living room with three comfy leather chesterfield style settees, matching easy chair, and a delightful wood burning stove set into the original fireplace. It has a TV with satellite (Freeview), DVD, I-Pod, novels, toys and games.
Other: All bedrooms are individually designed we have the Family room, Chambre Vert, Chambre Jaune, Chambre Blue and Chambre Rouge. Dining room with seating for up to 10 people patio doors leading to courtyard with patio table and chairs, BBQ, gardens and pool.

All linen, bath towels (including cot/crib linen), tea towels provided. If you are staying for 2 weeks, we will service the property if so requested after the first week. Bathrobes and slippers also provided. Pool towels not included.

Notes on accommodation
The bespoke French style kitchen is full of country charm, hand painted in a pretty pale blue, with a variety of fitted and free standing units. The units are topped with oak worktops providing plenty of counter-top space for fresh meals to be prepared if desired. It is well equipped for fine cooking and more than adequately stocked with quality china, glassware, cutlery, cooking knives, utensils, pots and pans including several cookbooks. It has all modern appliances including a leisure dual fuel range cooker, microwave, American fridge freezer, combination coffee maker (makes filter, espresso, cappuccino and lattes), dishwasher, toaster and kettle.
Dining Room with carved chairs seating up to 10 people
All beds have good quality sprung mattresses some with toppers.
Linen and towels: Good quality bedlinen, duvets, pillows, mattress and pillow protectors, towels, bath mats. We have paid particular attention to the quality of the beds and other furnishings for a comfortable stay.

Outside
There are 5 acres of extensive private grounds surrounding the property with a large area of lawn ideal for families to picnic in or play sports. A variety of sporting equipment is available for the more active including several bicycles and a tandem which you are welcome to borrow to explore the local area. There is a children’s play area with trampoline, swings, slides, climbing frame, living willow wigwam, football nets, and toddler’s rockers. One of the courtyard barns also has table tennis and a snooker table. The heated pool is open from May to September. It measures 10 x 5m, has Roman steps for easy access in and out and has a depth of 1.5 m. It is securely fenced to comply with the French safety laws and surrounded with a large patio area complete with sun loungers, deck chairs and cushions. The south facing courtyard in front of the Manoir has a barbeque with tables, chairs and parasols for alfresco dining. Lots of private, secure parking space within grounds.

Coast/Beach
The Manoir is ideally located to access the wonderful coastlines to the north and south of Brittany with some of the best beaches such as Pléneuf-Val-André and Erquy under an hour away. Perros- Guirec, Tregastel and Ploumanach on the pink granite coast are between 1¼ - 1½ hours away. The largest lake in Brittany, Lac de Guerlédan is close by and offers all types of water sports including sailing, water skiing, pedalos, swimming, fishing, boat trips etc as well as sandy beaches and restaurants.

Golf
There are plenty of golf courses for the keen golfer. Golf de Rimaison at Pontivy about a 20 mins drive is a 9 hole par 70. It has a good club house with refreshments available. More courses within an hours drive are Golf de Tréméreuc, Pleumeur Bodou, Golf de Pléneuf Val André, Saint Briac Sur Mer, Argent d'or and Morieux.

Travel
Approx journey times from the main ferry ports and airports by car to Manoir de Bolu are: Dinard airport 70 mins. Rennes airport 80 mins. St Malo 75 mins. Cherbourg 3 hours 10 mins. Caen 2 hours 35 mins. Le Havre 3 hours 30 mins. Dieppe 4 hours 30 mins. Calais 5 hours 45 mins. Boulogne 5 hours 30 mins. Roscoff 85 mins.

Distances
The Manior is ideally placed for holidays in Brittany offering easy access to both north and south coasts. It is a 5 mins drive from the nearest town of Mur-de-Bretagne which has all the necessary amenities including banks, supermarkets, restaurants and shops and about 15-20 mins drive from the medieval tourist towns of Pontivy and Loudeac.

Further details
20% discount off ferry crossings if travelling with Brittany ferries. For Christmas and New Year bookings the manoir will be traditionally decorated, which (along with the feature fire place and wood burning stove roaring away) will create a wonderful festive setting.

Booking notes
A deposit of 25% of the rental value is payable at the time of making a firm booking.
Balance is payable eight weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. If a booking is made within 8 weeks of the rental period full payment is required.
We would strongly recommend that guests take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy covering cancellation, personal belongings, health and public liability.
A full booking contract detailing all costs and responsibilities will be provided on request.
