Dean, Susan and the children extend a very warm welcome to you at their beautifully renovated 15th century farmhouse in the heart of the rolling Normandy countryside. The six en-suite guest rooms are located in an independent house across the courtyard and are elegantly furnished and decorated with comfort in mind. Each room contains a wealth of character and charm and modern bathroom facilities. The copious breakfasts and table d'hotes meals are served in the dining room, where there is a wood-burning stove and UK satellite TV. La beauconniere is a very peaceful, relaxing place to stay. Once you have been here, it is our hope that you will leave as friends and return again and again.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per day in euros. Rates are based upon two people sharing and include breakfast. Extra person in room or suite add 20 euros. Under two years stay free. Between September and the end of June there is a 10% discount for a two or more night stay.

La Beauconniere consists 2 lovely houses set in 13 acres of beautiful fields and old trees. The one house is where the family lives and the other - the rambling old farmhouse, is especially reserved for the guests.
Outside
There are three quiet and secluded gardens around the house where you may picnic or read, or simply relax. There are 6 horses and 3 ponies in the fields. There are lovely country walks starting right on the doorstep.
Coast/Beach
La Beauconniere is just 40 minutes easy drive to the D-Day landing beaches and roughly the same distance to the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula around Granville.
Special interest holidays
Susan, a natural horsemanship enthusiast, offers riding for experienced riders, and in-hand horse and pony riding for those who would like to have a go.
Travel
La Beauconniere is less than one hour's drive from both Cherbourg and Ouistreham and is about four hours from Calais and Boulogne. We are approximately 10 minutes from the A84 autoroute.

La Beauconniere is 25 minutes drive from Bayeux, 15 minutes from St Lo. 10 minutes from Torigni-sur-Vire and the beautiful Vire Valley, 15 minutes from Cerisy La Foret and Balleroy, 40 minutes from the D-Day Beaches at Omaha and just 50 minutes from Le Mont St. Michel.
