Cross country skiing on the doorstep and miles of walks around the Lac de Tueda which is moments from the back door. Changeover day
Changeover is usually Saturday, but do ask if you would like another day as this may be possible outside 'the peak season'. We also offer short week breaks.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | The master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom/shower. The apartment is very quiet as it is in the eaves of the building, with spectacular mountain views to wake up to. Two sleeping platforms are accessed by step ladders from the twin rooms. |
| Bathrooms: | One en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and wc, two shower rooms with wc. One on the ground floor. All with heated towel driers, tiled throughout, endless supply of hot water, fluffy white towels. |
| Kitchen: | Cooker, hob, fridge, freezer,microwave, washer/drier, plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses for entertaining, well equipped throughout. |

Quality linen and white fluffy towels are included and the apartment is cleaned for your arrival, with additional cleaning on request from our local manager. Food shopping and delivery can be arranged. |
Notes on accommodation
The staircase to the bedrooms is open tread and the mezzanine sleeping platforms have step ladders to reach them. These platforms have velux windows, but are not full height, so are suitable for younger children or one adult. Very young children may find access difficult.

Accessibility
This property is on several levels and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There is ample parking outside, although a car is not necessary as a free bus service operates 100 metres away. We are on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, 100 metres from the Lac de Tueda, the cross country ski zone and some wonderful winter wonderland walking.
Golf
The green runs of the ski area become a golf course in the spring and summer. Truly challenging for golfers, but there are buggies available.
Skiing
This property is a ski apartment in the heart of the Three Valleys, moments from the runs and lift system that takes you to Courcheval, Val Thorens and Meribel. Mottaret is higher than Meribel and benefits from the best of the snow at this high altitude. There are beginner slopes, excellent ski schools, English speaking guides, as well as real challenges for experienced skiers and snow boarders. The apartment is 2 hours drive from Lyon or Geneva airports and about half an hour from Chambery. The overnight train stops in Moutiers a short taxi ride away.
Travel
Two hours by car or coach from Geneva and Lyon airports, half an hour from Chambery airport for regional UK airports, half an hour from Moutiers train station for those on the ski train from London through Paris.
Distances
Close to Chamonix and Lake Annecy for day trips in the summer or through the mountain pass to Italy.
Further details
100 metres to supermarket, and very close to banks, shops, restaurants, whilst being in a peaceful location at the head of the valley. Excellent free bus service within the area. Live music at The Rond Point, famous 60's disco night at The Rastro, dozens of bars and restaurants from pizza to top quality cuisine.
