We are delighted to welcome guests to our home from home. The apartment is decorated to a high standard in the alpine style to complement the high, vaulted ceilings and rustic exposed beams. Two ample decks face West to catch the afternoon sun and north for a panoramic, unimpeded view of Picque Blanc and the far mountains. Les Deux Alpes is a lively resort with plenty of fun and action. Our location offers easy access to central bars and restaurants within walking distance; yet we are in a peaceful neighbourhood to eliminate any late night noise. It is a short walk to the ski slopes and/or lifts (150m) with quick access to the main ski areas all the way up to the glacier at 3600m. Our apartment is ideal for a family or for a group of friends. The well appointed kitchen is sufficient for full self-catering or you can dine out reasonably every night. Non skiers can shop, swim, bowl, ice skate, hike or mountain bike.

Changeover day is Saturday. Please contact me if you would like to discuss other arrangements - we can be very flexible outside of the high season.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed with direct access to the north deck and high vaulted ceilings. Bedroom 2 offers two single bunk beds plus storage. Bedroom 3 has a double bed plus additional storage. Beams and varied ceilings add character throughout. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom with bath/shower over, vanity unit and towel dryer. Separate wc. A washing machine / dryer is provided for laundry. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is new and offers ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A kettle and coffee machine are also provided. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots and pans. |
| Utility Room: | There is a utility / cloak cupboard in the main hallway. |
| Living Rooms: | The "sejour" is a multi-purpose dining / living area in the french style. A large table seats 6+ for breakfast and dinner. A massive sofa provides for relaxation in the evening. There is a TV, DVD player plus storage units and a bookcase) |
| Other: | Majestic 316 has a large ski locker in the basement. Plentiful parking is available outside the chalet. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
We have an English speaking local agent who provides keys, handles security deposit, weekly maid service and an optional linen pack. Late night key pick ups by arrangement (to 4am). |

There is no lift and the apartment is upstairs.
Outside
Two decks offer a sunny aspect (from the sejour) and views (from the master bedroom) providing an additional sense of space and light.

There is a 9 hole course in Les Deux Alpes (summer only).
Skiing
Les Deux Alpes ski area, as the name suggests, is on two mountains; the Venosc and Mont de Lans. The ski slopes run down both sides of the valley to the high altitude village and the lifts are about every 100m, so you won’t have far to walk. The nursery slopes, for complete beginners are in the village, from here you quickly progress to the gentle green slopes on the glacier called La Meije Glacier (3570m) From here you have great views. The whole ski area is 200km of piste on around 70 runs. It is often called the ‘upside down’ resort in that its more gentle runs are at the top on the glacier with the steepest runs being more down towards the village. In good snow, which at this resort height is normal, the off piste skiing here is awesome. Les Deux Alpes is a great resort for beginners with gentle nursery slopes and easy blues. Beginners should quickly progress to “Les Cretes” or the gentle glacier runs. The boardpark is worth checking out with kickers, spines, rails and boarder-X.
Special interest holidays
Apart from all the usual ski and snowboard activities, during the summer months, there are a wide variety of other activities such as mountain biking, fishing, bungee jumping, golf, paragliding, white water rafting etc plus there is a large skateboard ramp, tennis, a small golf course and other various sporting activities. The walks are also beautiful and the resort lays on a whole range of activities which vary from week to week.
Travel
Nearest airports are Lyon and Grenoble with regular flights from all the UK airports to both. Bus links from both airports plus car hire available - you could be at the resort in under 2 hours from Lyon.
Les Deux Alpes is approximately 7-8 hour drive from Calais and easily accessible by car.

Alpe d'Huez is 32km. Serre Chevalier is 67km.
Valloire 62km. Montgenevre and the Italian Alps 74km.
Further details
A small and friendly Casino supermarket is just 2 buildings away. Venetia does good takeaway pizza. The rustic restaurant on Pied Moutet is fantastic for lunch or just a quick genepi. Windsor Pub is great for socializing. TriBeCa is a charming local pizzeria. Try Blue Salmon for more sophisticated dining.
