Cottage with accommodation comprising of on the ground floor: sitting/dining-room with fireplace, large sofa, TV, dining table; small sitting room with games and TV; kitchen fully equipped; lavatory; bedroom (14 m2); shower-room with basin and washing-machine. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms (9 - 14 - 10 - 20 m2); bathroom with 2 basins and lavatory. Large open garden, surrounded by fields and meadows of owner's farm, with terrace and lawn, stone barbeque, many swings, table tennis. Owner's goats, sheep, ponies and horses wandering nearby the guesthouse. Pets allowed.

Weekends and midweeks are also possible.
Weekend: from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.
Midweek: from Monday afternoon to Friday morning.
Price: 400 euros all inclusive.

Changeover day
Flexible.
During holidays periods, the changeover is usually arrival on Saturday 4.00 pm and departure on Saturday 10.00 am. Weekends begin on Friday PM and end on Sunday PM. Midweeks begin on Monday PM and end on Friday AM.

Heaters in each room. Electricity included. Very suitable for children.

Accessibility
Unfortunately, the house has not been specially constructed for wheelchair users. But the downstairs bedroom can be helpful.

Outside
Large open garden surrounded by fields and meadows. Lawn with table and barbecue. Table tennis, numerous swings. Very old pony for small children (until 5 years old) walks free.

Coast/Beach
The most Jet-Set beach is Deauville, of course (25km) with its races, golf, famous "planches". Trouville is more suitable for families (25 km). Between Trouville and Honfleur, you will find very quiet places like Pennedepie, Criqueboeuf.

Saint-Julien-le-Faucon: 15km.
Deauville: 25 km.

Special interest holidays
The Pays d'Auge is renowned for its production of cider and calvados. There are large distilleries but still plenty of small producers. Its climate is favourable to breeding of dairy-cattle and production of excellent cheeses like the famous camembert, pont-l'évèque or livarot. You will discover all these products on numerous farmers' markets as you drive around the region.
Museums and historical sites can be visited: the D-Day landing beaches; Bayeux's famous tapestry, and many beautiful castles and lovely manors all over the Pays d'Auge.

The use of car is advised. Car hire is possible (10km).
Railway station: Lisieux at 10 ';
Deauville's airport: 25 ';
Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport (Paris): 2 hours
Ferryboat: le Havre : 1 hour; Dieppe : 2 hours.
Channel: Calais 2 and 1/2 hours.

Distances
There are many charming towns and villages, with typical timber-framed houses, as Honfleur (30km), Beaumont-en-Auge (20km), Beuvron (25km), Cambremer (20km).
An amazing zoo at 2km (CERZA) where the animals are housed in large outdoor enclosures.
Musical festivals are organized in beautiful places like castles and haras.

About the owner
Hello, I will be your closest neighbour during your stay. So, you ought to know that I run the farm surrounding the guesthouses. I am a real countryside lover and am deligthed to share my passion with my guests. The main thing to keep the "guesthouses business" fine, is to have happy guests. That is why I am always there if you need anything, but I am not of the bothering sort. The animals (cows, poneys, goats, sheep, cats and dogs) could be more bothering as they very often freely wander all over the farm, but, actually, children and even adults, do love that. Why the owner chose a home in this location
My husband's granfather bought the estate between the 2 wars, and let it to a farmer until 1981. Then, my husband took it over. The Pays-d'Auge farms are typically of that sort : main house surrounded by fields and meadows and plenty of little barns. The first guesthouse (10 people) we renovated was an old bakery (the old kiln is still in the fireplace). The second one (6 people), was a smaller house, and the third ( 4 people )was an tiny barn, in the middle of a field, which has been remoted on a charriot.
