Situated at the head of the beautiful St Gervais valley in Les Contamines and next to the ski-lifts, our well laid out apartment provide great booking options for groups or families from 4-6. All you need is just out the front door! Not many alpine areas can match what Les Contamines has to offer: In winter it has fantastic skiing for all levels of ability in and above the tree line with amazing views of neighbouring Mount Blanc. You can also find some of the best cross country skiing, ski mountaineering and snowshoeing. Come spring, when the meadows burst into colour and the alpine streams sparkle once again there is even more to explore straight out of your alpine apartment. Everything from following waymarked alpine walks to mountain biking and rock adventures to enjoying the peace of the Les Contamines valley.

Notes on prices
The prices shown are normally for a 7 nights stay (unless stated otherwise) and assumes the apartment will be left clear and tidy.
We can also provide bed linen and towels during your stay for £12 per person.
Secure underground parking is also available for £50 per week.
A £100 deposit is required to confirm bookings and a returnable £100 damage/extra cleaning bond is required with your final payment.
Changeover day
Over Christmas and New Year 2011/2012 our change over days vary to help you enjoy the festive season! Back to Saturdays after that - this is also flexible:
Arrival after 4.30pm. Departure before 10am. Flexible change over days in low season.

Notes on accommodation
This is a small to medium size apartment close to the lifts, ideal for a young family or 4 adults on a winter or summer break - for a group of 6 it's a bit more cosy!
Please note apartment is non smoking.
Not included in rental fee:
1. Bed linen and towels - 15 euros per person, collected with keys, we hope this helps reduce costs for families travel by car.
2. £100 Breakage deposit.
Coast/Beach
Visit the activity and leisure park at Le Pontet just along the valley for a dip in the solar warmed swimming lake, or take a journey on the high level ropes course, or a game of tennis. Its all there with refreshments and play grounds. Open July and August.
Golf
You will also find a driving range at Le Pontet, with 18 hole courses in Megeve and Chamonix.
Skiing
Les Contamines has a very French family ski resort feel about it and your apartment is right next to the first of 24 lifts taking you to well over 100km of runs of all grades including a ski park for the young and not so young prepared to notch up some air time!!. The off piste has endless possibilities.
Les Contamines’ snow record is the envy of the Alps and also has the advantage of having pistes in the trees and well above on the open mountain of Mont Joly. There are plenty of mountain restaurants to relax in and meet up, with plenty of small hostelries tucked away waiting to be discovered.
Ski Mountaineers will find some of the best non glaciated ski mountaineering and touring terrain in this part of the Alps – Nordic Skiers can find many kilometres of ski trails in the valley.
But don’t forget if you are missing the queues and the madness of the mega resorts, Megeve and Chamonix are only a short bus ride or drive away. We think there is something for everyone.

Airport: Geneva – 75 minutes by car, bus service in season
Railway Station: St Gervais Le Fayet – 30 minutes regular bus service.
Ferry Port: Calais – 7 to 9 hours (auto route).
Distances
Geneva: 75 minutes.
Chamonix : 40 minutes.
Megeve: 30 minutes.
St Gervais: 15 minutes.

A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking, with your balance due 8 weeks ahead of your holiday. We also require a returnable damage / extra cleaning bond £100, the full amount will be returned after your holiday providing the apartment is left clean and tidy with no damage. We will send you further details of your apartment and useful travel and local information on receipt of your deposit.

Hi,
Welcome to Les Contamines and the first step of your holiday! This is our 6th season here, having originally discovered it from skiing, climbing and cycling in this part of the Alps.
We continue to enjoy the valley and surrounding mountains and the many activities the seasons have to offer and are always pleased to help answer any questions you may have when planning your summer or winter trip.
We can also pass on discounted rates for ski hire and lift passes and help organise transfers and ski school.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
An easy drive from the ports and only an hour from Geneva, Les Contamines is a great place for us and all the families and groups that stay with us. It has a well proven snow record - in fact the envy of the area, it's where the locals come to find reliable snow and to get away from the crowds and queues to enjoy the piste, off piste, ski mountaineering and ski trails. We are literally 3 minutes walk from the main Gondola station which takes you right into the heart of the high open ski area, open also in the summer to get walkers and mountain bikers into the alpine pastures and marked trails. Just a walk away, summer visitors can also enjoy, rock climbing, alpine mountaineering, the very best walking, tennis, high ropes courses and so many wonderful places to explore and visit.

Right out of the front door we have enjoyed the best variety of skiing experienced anywhere - Great for novice and experienced skiers - young and old; easy access, great ski schools, loads of wide open gentle slopes and stacks to advance onto in a comfortable and easy to learn ski area. This is always with the very best back drop of Mont Blanc and the high alpine peaks around it, again just a step away for experienced mountaineers or new adventurers accompanied by a mountain guide.
