Lambernière is situated roughly halfway between the towns of Cognac and Matha. The property is a classic 19th century French country house arranged around two sides of a courtyard. The gîte, on the one side, is a spacious barn conversion into which existing features such as stone window embrasures and enormous oak beams have been skilfully blended. From the expansive kitchen dining area to each of the delightful bedrooms, the emphasis is on typically spacious French style.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday and is not normally flexible.
Arrival time is not before 16.00 and we would ask that the property be vacated by, at the latest, 10.00 on departure day.

| Other: | Salon. Selection of chairs and reading lamps. Radio/tape player. Video and DVD player. There are a selection of tapes and discs, but you can of course bring your own. |

Duvets and pillows (English sizes) are supplied. Linen may be hired, but not towels. |

Stair gate available to fit if needed.
Outside
Spacious gardens with large patio and pool. The pool is 12m x5m and 1.1m deep all over (ideal for children). There are plenty of loungers, chairs and parasols. A large barbecue with herbs all around for those special flavours.
Coast/Beach
Gironde estuary, Royan and beaches about 1 hour's drive (in summer).
La Rochelle 1 1/4 hours drive.
Golf
Cognac Golf Club 20 minutes
Saintes Golf Club 30 minutes
Royan Golf Club 60 minutes
All with good clubhouse facilities.

Further details
Bread is delivered daily and main shopping 10 minutes drive away. If you are likely to arrive late we will always purchase food to start you off. We are situated in a peaceful area, but all you need is easily reached.
A tennis court is available in the village, 5 minutes cycle ride away. Cycling is a special pleasure as there are no steep hills!
We live here (we are a french/english couple) and are only to happy to help and advise you at whatever level you need.
