These 2 houses are decorated to a high standard. They have large entertaining areas and boast comfortable, big beds. There are wood fires in each property. Although normally self-catering, there is a possibility of hiring a cook. The nearest resorts are Ste Foy and La Rosiere - both a 15-20 minute drive, but the wonderful skiing of Espace Killy, Val d'Isere and Tignes, is only 30 minutes away. Les Arcs is just across the mountain and its lowest satellite station, Villaroger, is 20 minutes' drive. One of the great benefits of these houses is to be able to chose where to ski each day. It is possible to select skischools and guides in one resort for your stay, but a great bonus is to select a different place each day and to return to the quiet of a mountain village after a busy day's skiing is an enormous privilege. Summer in the Alps is a special secret. Walking, canyoning, canoeing, paragliding or white water rafting are near. The houses both have sun terraces and balconies.

| This house was built 2 years ago. There is garage parking for 4 cars on the ground floor and a ski room. The garage is also access to the house above. The 4 bedrooms are on the first floor. Two have ensuite bathrooms and the other two share a shower room. Of these rooms, one has 3 bunks and the other either a 6' double or 2 singles. The other 2 rooms have 6' beds and lovely bathrooms. The top floor houses the kitchen with dishwasher and electric oven and hob, dining area with seats up to 12 and a large sitting area with a TV corner with DVD. There is a long sunny balcony along the length of this room. The central feature is a wood burning stove hanging from the ceiling throwing out very effective heat. | |

Both houses are centrally heated to a high standard and Les Voisins has underfloor heating on the bedroom floors.

Each house has a sun terrace and a barbecue and garden furniture.

Golf course in Tignes, 35 minutes away.
Skiing
La Rosiere - a wonderful family resort with access to Italy - 15 minutes' drive.
Ste Foy - the latest Tarentaise resort now in the Sunday Times top 10, small and very child friendly - 20 minutes' drive.
Vilaroger for Les Arcs - challenging skiing with access to La Plagne - 15 minutes.
Tignes - some of the best off-piste in the world. Top class guides and hundreds of runs - 30 minutes.
Val d'Isere - debatably the best ski resort in France with fantastic restaurants - 30 minutes.

Further details
Every ski resort has supermarkets, banks and other shops but the largest selection is in Bourg St Maurice 20 minutes' drive away. The area is full of restaurants; one of the best in the Alps is only 5 minutes away. Ste Foy village (10 minutes) boasts 2 very good restaurants and a good hotel.
Walking and picnics are the pastime of choice during the summer and the trails up the mountains are second to none. The intrepid can say in refuges which supply their own food and then continue their adventure the next day. There are also organised Alpine Walkway activities for children as well as white water rafting, parapenting and rock climbing for the daring.
