L'Equipe Anglaise is perfectly located for Chamonix's skiing and the town itself being just 10 minutes walk from the lifts of Le Brevant-Flegere ski area or a 1 minute walk from the ski bus stop, servicing all the valley’s ski areas. It is a beautiful apartment, in the most prestigious development of Chamonix, Residence Les Alpes, an outstanding, central location, one minute from Chamonix’s main square and the town's many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Yet it is also a peaceful spot on the banks of the River L’Arve. It has breathtaking views of the Aiguille du Midi and the Mont Blanc Massif from its three balconies. The apartment is spacious (100sq.m), fully furnished, with a bright comfortable living room and three twin bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a fully fitted kitchen (that includes a fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave). It caters for up to 6 people comfortably. Never known to run out of hot water even in the ski season. TV, DVD, Video, parking, large ski cave.

Changeover day
Saturday. Flexible especially out of the high season. Usual arrival after 2pm and departure before 10.30am. Storage a possibility.

The property is on the second floor but there is a good sized lift to enable access.

Three walk on balconies.
Coast/Beach
Lac Pasy is a 15 minute drive downt the mountain and the surprisingly warm water is perfect for children and adults alike to swim in. You can sit on the grass or beach area with breath taking views of Mont Blanc in front of you as you sun bathe.
Golf
Chamonix Golf Club is 10 minutes by car and is a unique golfing experience with stunning views on every hole. Also nearby (one hour) is Lac D'Annecy a superb Ladies European Tour course, an absolute must. There are several other courses within driving distance but these two are a must.
Skiing
The ski bus stop is one minute from the apartment door. Go up the stairs into Rue Paccard and turn left. After twenty yards cut through by the interiors store 'Cheverney' and walk up to the Office du Tourisme bus stop. This bus stop services all Chamonix's ski areas including Le Brevant, Flegere, Grandes Montets and Les Houches.
If you turn right at the bus stop and walk to the roundabout and then turn left and walk up the hill you will arrive at the Le Brevant bubble car station (total walking time 10 minutes).
For the Aiguille du Midi Cable Car and the Vallee Blanche and spectacular close up views of Mont Blanc you are better off walking over the bridge in front of the apartment and turning right. At the roundabout after 50 yards, go straight over and continue for 5 minutes until you reach the Aiguille du Midi cable car station

Travel
Geneva airport (1 hour). Zurich, Lyon (3 hours). Car hire useful but not essential as there is an excellent ski bus service.
Distances
Courmayeur (Italy, skiing 30 minutes by bus or car).
Verbier (Switzerland, skiing 1 hour 10 minutes by car).
Aosta (charming Italian Alpine village, 30 minutes).
Megeve - 45 minutes (winter skiing, spring / summer walking).
Samoens - 45 minutes (charming in spring / summer).
Montreux - 1 hour. Charming town with famous jazz festival.
Annecy - 1 hour. Beautiful city on Lac D'Annecy.
Geneva - 1 hour.
