The Farm Cottage has been recently renovated retaining its oak beams and original features, it is south facing, with its own terrace peaceful with wonderful views and is totally independent with its own gated entranced, parking area, and is surrounded by 2.2 hectares of our land. The cottage is set in its own private child friendly garden with an above ground 5m pool with sunbeds etc. Set on the edge of a small hamlet 3km from the bustling town of Thiviers, which is the capital of the Fois Gras region of the Perigord. There is a choice of 4 supermarkets, banks, bars, restaurants and boulangeries and Saturday market.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Sat, exceptions will be made on request - out of high season, arrival time is 4pm and departure time 10am.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds, (will accommodate a further single bed if required). Cot and high chair available. |

| Kitchen: | Separate large newly fitted kitchen which has French doors to the outside and contains- built in electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker. Utility cupboard containing ironing board, iron, mop/bucket, vacuum cleaner etc. |
| Utility Room: | In the cave underneath the house is the washing machine, along with the airing rack, BBQ, and the sun bed covers. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge/dining room is 6m x 6m, has been newly furnished with two settees, seating 6 people, pine table and 6 chairs, Freeview English TV, DVD, Radio Cassette player, books and games, there is also Oil Fired Central Heating and a Wood Burner. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bedlinen, towels, tea towels, and pool towels are provided, the towels and linen are changed weekly, and the property is cleaned on changeover days. |
Notes on accommodation
Oil Fired Central Heating, and Wood Burner inc in price Oc tober to March only. The property is gated and surrounded by a large garden, and open fields, and is reached by a small lane, so it is perfectly child friendly.

Accessibility
All the rooms are on ground floor, with 6 steps to obtain access to the property.
Outside
The cottage is set in its own private garden with a private above ground pool 5m x 1.2m deep to cool down in along with sun beds with covers, and table and chairs for your comfort. For younger children a swing set is available, and a sand pit, and for the energetic table tennis, badminton, swing ball and 3/4 Snooker Table. It is surrounded by 5 acres of the owners land with views to die for.
On the front of the Cottage is a terrace with table, chairs, and a sunshade, looking down over the views, where depending on the time of year you can see deer, foxes and wild boar.
Coast/Beach
Nantheuil Lake is 4km - it has a sandy beach with swimming in the lake, and other attractions. Rouffiac Lake and leisure centre - is 15km approx - and has water skiing, boating, swimming. Bussiere-Galant Lake and leisure park - 15km - this has a beach and swimming, but also 'Les Acrobois', an assault course through the trees, adapted in various stages for all ages from 5 plus. They also have a velorail - (bikes for 4 persons) which run on an old railway track for 2 hours.

Marsac, near Perigueux, 30km.

Nearest Airports - Limoges and Bergerac - both around 60km
takes approx 1 hour - Flybe and Ryanair use both these airports
Bordeaux is 2.5 hours away, flights with most airlines
Speed Ferries from Dover to Boulogne. Many Ferries from Dover to Calais. Use of a car is essential.
Distances
The Dordogne offers a multitude of choices for all tastes. Especially famous for its cuisine, fois gras and truffles and many delicious duck dishes. There are many stunning Chateaux with Hautefort, Puyguilem and Jumhilac le Grand within easy reach, prehistoric caves, beautiful medieval cities and villages such as St Jean de Cole which is 6km away and is listed as one of 'Les plus beaux villages of France' and Brantome 'The Venice of the Perigord' with its must see Friday market, and canoeing.
Booking notes
Please note a 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking, the balance due for payment 6 weeks prior to your arrival. These can be paid into our English Bank account, details of which will be given over the telephone, a Booking Form and Conditions will be sent.
A security deposit of 150 euros, payable in cash on arrival which will be refunded on your departure once the cottage has been checked. Your travel insurance should include appropriate cancellation insurance and public liability.
