Memoires de Provence - is set in a renovated traditional Provencal farmhouse. In a peaceful location in the countryside outside Coustellet (which has 1 of the best farmers' markets around). It's a great base for discovering the famous hilltop villages and the sites of Luberon Natural Park and it's just a short trip to the beautiful walled city of Avignon. Alternatively, simply relax on a sun lounger in the shade by the large fully secured pool, or enjoy a drink under the vine covered veranda. All rooms have a flat screen TV. The salon and entree are at your disposition. Gated parking. WiFi. Access to Fridge. Anglo / French couple.

Rental periods Bedrooms/Suite - Double bed, en-suite bathroom, inc breakfast. Bedrooms 2 - Double bed, en-suite bathroom, inc breakfast. Bedrooms 3 & 4 - 2 Single beds or 1 double, shared bathroom with room 3 or 4, inc breakfast.

Notes on prices
Prices are per room per night in euros.
For stay of more than 2 nights / or for families with small children please contact us for discounts. Prices are for 2 people and include breakfast. Rates are reduced by 10 euros for single occupancy. An extra single bed with breakfast is available for 30 euros – above 12 years of age. Under 12 the first child is free. Cancellation required 2 days before the day of arrival. Unfortunately we cannot accept card payments - UK cheques OK.

Changeover day
As B&B arrival and departure on any day. Arrival after 4pm - though luggage can be left before hand + room can be taken if vacant. Departure by 11am.

Accommodation

4 rooms, all decorated in traditional Provencal style. With either a double or two single beds (a further single is available). All rooms have a flat screen TV and the necessary equipment for hot drinks. Bedlinen, towels, dressing gowns and toiletries are all provided.
Room 1 -(24m˛) this spacious room overlooks both the garden and the orchard. Furnished with a double bateau bed and a sitting area with 2 comfortable armchairs and coffee table. It has its own large en-suite bathroom equipped with a bath, with shower option, double washbasins and wc.
Room 2 -(14m˛) this room looks south over the garden and the Luberon mountains. Furnished with a double bed this room also has its own spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, double washbasins and wc.
Room 3, 4 -(17m˛ & 14m˛) these rooms overlook the garden and the orchard. Both are equipped with two single beds, that can be moved to form a double. These rooms share a separate bathroom with a bath (+ spa massage & shower) and a wc.

 

Notes on accommodation
We don't have air-conditioning but we do have 1 metre thick walls which gives the same results. Gated parking with remote control. Wi-Fi connection available. English and French spoken. Suitable for children - including a fully secured swimming pool.

Accessibility
Unfortunately the farmhouse is not suitable for wheelchairs - sorry.

Outside
Large pool (5m x 10m) - suitable for young children due to protective fence. Many sun loungers, hammocks and parasols. Spacious veranda under the vine covered pergola with dining area (table and comfortable chairs) and several hammock chairs. Large landscaped garden with many fruits trees - fig, pomegranate, peach, cherry etc. Immense vineyard - 1200 vines.

Coast/Beach
The following Mediterranean beaches are worth a visit: Sausset les pins (1 hour away), La Ciotat (1 hour 15 mins) and Bandol (1 hour 20 mins).

Golf
11km to Golf de Provence Country Club at Saumane.

Travel
Airports: Direct from UK to Marseille (50 mins drive to us) and Nimes (70 mins) - flight time approx 1 hour 30 mins.
Train: Avignon TGV / Hi speed train (35 mins drive to us) travel time from London 6/7 hours.
Car hire recommended in order to benefit from all the sights in Provence.

Further details
Coustellet has one of the best and most authentic farmers markets on a Sunday morning - a 5 min walk. Many amenities in the village (Coustellet) 4 bakeries, restaurants and cafes, excellent pizza vans, cash point, estate agents, deli, dry cleaning, newsagents, wine cellar etc.

Booking notes
30% deposit at the time of booking - balance at end of stay. Deposit and balance are payable in UK sterling cheque if easier.
