Le Diamant Noir offers accommodation in two comfortable garden gites. We are situated 1km from the market town of Aups- an easy walk. A typical Provencal town, Aups offers all the necessary amenities with shops, restaurants, cafés, a wealth of history and its twice weekly market, brimming over with the local produce of the surrounding area. A shared swimming pool is available for those hot days with swimming towels provided. Ample off- road parking is at your disposal. Evening meals are available on request, as are picnics for those days in the beautiful countryside.

| This attractively decorated, light and airy one floor garden gite has one bedroom, with generous wardrobe. It provides spacious accommodation for a couple. A large, tiled shower room also houses a washing machine. The fully equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and various utensils, leads on to a dining area and sitting area with TV and DVD player. There is also a CD player. French doors open on to a covered terrace, providing an outdoor living space for al fresco dining. A gas barbecue and tools are provided for outdoor cooking. Garden furniture is provided. | |
Outside
Each gite has its own private covered terrace and outdoor area with its own barbecue and outdoor furniture. In the main garden there is a shared pool 4m x 6m with wide paved surround and sun loungers. We have a large parking area off the road and within electric gates. There is also a small petanque area and table tennis.

Because of our geographical location and proximity to the Gorges du Verdon and the Lac Sainte Croix there are numerous outdoor pursuits for those who are actively minded. White water sports to include rafting canyoning and kayaking are available along with sailing and fishing. Climbing, hiking, horse riding and mountain biking are available in the area. This is an ideal area for hikers and climbers.

Although you need go no further than our local and historic town of Aups for a taste of real Provence with its famous truffle market, we are in a region of extreme natural beauty with a wealth of flora and fauna for nature lovers. Situated at the foothills of the alps we are surrounded by spectacular scenery, from fortified medieval hill-top villages to the magnificent Gorges du Verdon, from the Lac Sainte Croix to the Lavender Plateau of Valensole. Surrounded by local producers there are gastronomic delights at every corner not forgetting many hectares of vineyards and wine-tasting opportunities. Both the Alpes of Haute Provence and the resorts of the Cote d’Azur are easily accessible by car.
Booking notes
A deposit of 30% is payable at the time of booking. Balance becomes payable. 8 weeks before arrival date. A security deposit is payable of €250 per week. Rental rates include linen,towels and swimming towels and end of stay clean. There will be a charge for electricity during the winter months.
