Skiing
The interlinked resorts of Morillon, Flaine (2500m), Samoens, Les Carroz and Sixt make up Le Grand Massif ski area (265km of slopes and 78 lifts). The area, which has one of the best snow records in the Alps, and wonderful views - including the Mont Blanc range - provides extensive skiing (downhill and cross country) and snowboarding possibilities for all levels. Skiers and snowboarders will find slopes for all degrees of expertise. Non-skiers may like to try snow-shoeing, ice-skating or sleighing. Spring, summer and autumn are ideal seasons for mountain walking, climbing, cycling, paragliding, tennis.

Also, Le Chalet Fischer is the perfect starting point for sightseeing excursions to, for example, Chamonix (Mont Blanc), Annecy, Yvoire, Evian and in Switzerland to Geneva, Lausanne/Ouchy or Montreaux. Numerous places of interest are within a one hour drive.

There are chemists in Morillon and Samoens as well as a medical centre, banks and hairdressing salons in Samoens. Several garages. Also nearby, two large supermarkets, florist, large 'bric-a-brac' store.
Booking notes
Bookings are accepted on a 'first-come-first-served' basis and receipt by Le Chalet Fischer of payment of a deposit of 25% of the rental price is required in order for a reservation to be confirmed. Balance is payable 8 weeks prior to start of a holiday. If a reservation is made less than 8 weeks prior to start of a holiday, payment in full is required in order for a booking to be confirmed. Payments can be made by credit card.
