Villa Josephine is a delightful villa comprising two homes. The villa and pool are set in lovely private gardens. There is an orchard which has cherry trees, apple, peach, greengage, grapefruit and kiwi trees where guests may help themselves to fruit when available. Each accommodation has its own private sitting area and BBQ. The property is situated by the River Tech and overlooks the Pyrenees. Shops and restaurants are approximately a 15 minute walk away. There is a drive way for parking and also parking available adjacent to the property. Wi Fi is available in both properties. Please note these accommodations are part of one detached house.

Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. Bedroom 2 has a double bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. Family bathroom with shower. Large fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, filter coffee machine, toaster, hob and oven. This ground floor accommodation has a sitting room with large dining table and English TV. Wi Fi available. |

Notes on accommodation
Both accommodations have central heating so the property is available to rent all year. Both accommodations have fully fitted kitchens, English TV, video, DVD, i-pod dock and Wi-FI. Hair dryer. Villa Josephine is suitable for children and 2 cots and high chairs are available. Linen and towels are included.
Accessibility
The property is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
Each accommodation has its own sitting area and BBQ area. The lovely swimming pool is approx 9x5m. The gardens are private and there is a well stocked orchard. There is outdoor furniture both round the pool and on the sun terraces.
Coast/Beach
The French and Spanish beaches are approx 35 minutes drive away. Villa Josephine is very well situated for visiting the Mediterranean beaches, some of which are quiet and others having plenty of activities available.
Golf
There are golf courses in the area. The most popular is approx 40 minutes away and is situated in the mountains. There is also a Spa, pool and restaurant at the golf club.
Special interest holidays
Amelie les Bains is renowned for its natural thermal Spas which offer relaxation and pampering sessions as well as treatments for a variety of medical conditions.
Travel
The nearest airports are Perpignan 30 minute drive to Villa Josephine. Girona 1 hour drive. Barcelona 2 hour drive. Carcassonne 1½ hour drive.
Distances
The nearest town is Amelie les Bains a 15 minute walk - where there are plenty of food shops and restaurants and a large market every Thursday.
The historic hillside village of Palalda is just a 5 minute walk away where there is a bakers and a small but well stocked supermarket.
Ceret is a 15 minute drive away - excellent market every Saturday.It is a medieval market town and in the past has been the home of many famous artists. Also there is a Modern Art museum well worth a visit.
Further details
The Spanish border is approx 20mins away.
The Salvador Dhali museum can be found at Figuares and well worth a visit.
Barcelona is about a 2hr car journey but there is also a regular train or bus service from Perpignan.
The villa overlooks the Pyrenees which are excellent for walking in or just driving round to admire the marvellous scenery.
