Notes on accommodation
This apartment is decorated to a very high standard with a tasteful mix of antique and modern furniture. Those who appreciate top quality skiing, with a high level of comfort and après-ski facilities will undoubtedly enjoy this luxury accomodation. The apartment is NON-SMOKING and pets are not permitted.
Outside
There are two private balconies overlooking the ski area. Gym, sauna, steam room and outdoor jacuzzi in building. There is a shared indoor/outdoor heated swimming pool in the adjacent building.
Golf
18 hole golf course in nearby Arc 1600 (summer only). Access by car, 10 mins.
Skiing
The pistes are accessible directly from the apartment. There is a new high speed fast cable car linking les Arcs and la Plagne which has created one of the biggest ski areas in the world. There are 420km of pistes, vast off piste areas and glacier skiing on the upper slopes. The pistes include 31 black, 64 red, 125 blue and 12 green runs and the scenery varies from tree lined pistes, to dramatic high mountains and glaciers. Night skiing is very popular, and is again directly accessible from the apartment.
There are cross-country skiing facilities a short car journey away. Also accessible by car are the resorts of Val d'Isere, Tignes and the Three Valleys for a change of scene. A week ski pass includes a free day's skiing at any one of these. However Paradiski is big enough to keep most people more than occupied.
Special interest holidays
The village has a very active social calender, with several activites from wine tasting, to local style entertainments. Children are well catered for.
Travel
Local airports include : Chambery (1 hr 30min), Grenoble (2hr 30), Lyon (2hr 30), Geneva (2 hr 30).
Eurostar overnight direct from St Pancreas to Bourg St Maurice, then funiculaire and bus directly to Arc 1950. Leave Friday evening and arrive for first lift on Saturday morning.
