The villa is the first sea fronted private house on the whole of the Bay of Nice and easily accessible to all the beauties of the Cote d'Azur. Originally build in the 18th Century it has been remodelled many times, most recently in 2001 by Jean-Marie Roig, a well known local painter. A large air-conditioned lounge/dining room for 8 people with panoramic views of the whole of the bay (immortalised by Raoul Dufy), private Bar and fully equipped kitchen. On the garden patio you can eat out in the sun or in the shade. All Sky TV+ movies (no PPV). Full DVD, surround video and sound centre. The 3 bedrooms downstairs have individually controlled air-conditioning. The master bedroom is en-suite with wc, large sunken bath and large separate shower. Access through the French windows leads to a small lower garden. The other two bedrooms have their own shower and wash basin. And, an unique feature, a very large Steam Room (Hammam).

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday but we will try to be flexible. Variations are possible (except Sunday) during Off Season/Winter months. Ask for details.

Travel
Just around the corner from our Villa is the renowned Nice Port, full of some of the biggest yachts to be seen anywhere. From here there are daily sailings (4 hours) to Corsica. Going further East you have Villefranche with its wonderful bay (just 10 mins away) – then through Eze and onwards to Monaco in about 20 mins. By Autoroute you can reach Menton or Italy 25-30mins. Going West there is Antibes and Juan les Pins, Cannes and St. Tropez. North are the villages of Grasse, and St.Paul de Vence.

Further details
The beach is just across the road with private and public bathing areas. Castel Plage Restaurant on the beach provides all day sun beds, umbrellas, and waiter service. 150 metres away is the 'Cours Saleya', the main market square and centre of activity of the Old Town. Underneath the square is a 4 story car park. From the patio there is a fantastic view of the whole Bay of Nice as far as the Airport (7km). Behind the house, is the Tour Bellanda the most famous landmark in Nice. Culturally, Nice is renowned for its many very old Churches, 20 Museums, a Opera House, many theatres, hundreds of fine art shops and, of course, eating! There are over 3,000 restaurants in the area and you can eat in a different one every day for a year; all within walking distance of the villa. Every type and at every price - even a Michelin star across the road from the Villa!

Stroll through the Old Town (pre Roman). Its buzzing tiny streets packed with Art Galleries and a range of restaurants and wonderful local Nicean cuisine. The tiny shops sell every conceivable range of product you would ever want – just see the pasta shops, the olive oil shops, the perfumeries! Tuesday to Sunday (6am - 1pm) there is a vegetable and flower market. On Mondays it transforms into the largest weekly antique market in Southern France. Also, on a square off this market, there is a book fair every second Saturday. There is a fantastic nightlife in Nice – especially in the Old Town. Pubs are common, as well as Brasseries, and every few streets will have a nightclub some specialising in Jazz, others Latino or contemporary music.

For Christmas and New Year, Nice Carnival, Easter, Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix rates are subject to change and conditions may apply. A deposit is required at time of booking and remainder 1 month prior to arrival. A security deposit is also required. Please note that refunds cannot be given for cancellations made within 2 months of the proposed arrival date.
