'Les Cimes' is a traditional Savoyarde farmhouse, built in 1800. It has been tastefully renovated to create 2 large centrally heated apartments, providing comfortable and spacious accommodation. It is situated in L'Etelley, an unspoilt rural hamlet in the outskirts of Samoens. Our large garden has swings, boules pitch and badminton and has a small slope for sledging in the winter. We are ideally situated for both summer activities and skiing in the Grand Massif. 3 telecabines are within 5 minutes by car and the ski bus stops at 100ms.

Changeover day
We have some flexibility regarding changeover day, although this depends on our existing bookings.
Notes on accommodation
All bed linen and towels are provided. (Please bring your own towels for swimming). Baby linen is included, also high chair, security gate, baby back-pack and some toys.
The boiler room serves as a drying room for outdoor clothes and ski boots.
A regular cleaning service is available at an extra cost.
From a safety point of view smoking is not allowed in the apartments, but smokers can use the covered terrace and balcony areas. Sorry, no pets.
Accessibility
The apartments are not really suitable for people with a severe mobility problem, as they are on the second floor.
Outside
The garden has picnic tables and BBQ's are available.
Golf
There are several Golf Courses within an hour - Chamonix, Megeve, Les Gets, Flaine, Esery (Reignier), and Evian.
Skiing
There are 3 telecabines within 5 minutes by car, and the ski bus stop is at 100 ms. The Grand Massif, which includes Samoëns, Morillon, Sixt, Les Carroz and Flaine has 265 kms of well groomed pistes, varying from challenging black runs to gentle wooded slopes. The unique 'Cascade' run from Flaine to Sixt is 14 kms long. For the more adventurous the area offers good off-piste skiing, in particular the Combe de Gers.
The Portes du Soleil, Megeve and Chamonix are all within an hour's drive.
Travel
Geneva Airport 1 hour.
Car hire from the airport is recommended, as we are situated 5 minutes from Samoens by car and there is very little public transport in the summer. There is a regular free ski bus service however in the winter and transfers from the airport can be arranged.
Distances
Chamonix, Annecy and the spa towns of Evian and Thonon are only 1 hour away.
Further details
The upper Giffre valley is an excellent base for winter and summer activities.
Samoens is a historic listed village, dating back to the 9th century. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a very good Wednesday market. (In the winter season there is also an ice-skating rink). There is a large leisure centre incorporating an open-air swimming pool complex, tennis courts and two lakes.
Morillon lake nearby is very good for swimming and boating. It has a sandy beach and safe playing area for children.

A booking must be accompanied by a completed Booking Form and the deposit of 25%. Full payment is due 8 weeks before the date of arrival.
