Located in the heart of the beautiful Brittany countryside, just 5 mins from Saint-Jean-Brevelay, a good sized village with a supermarket and petrol station, patisserie, boulangerie, pizzeria grill (eat in and take away) bar and chemist. The hotel in the village also has a good restaurant and the picturesque historic town of Josselin (15 mins), coastal town of Vannes (20 mins) and sandy beaches (40 mins) are each just a short drive away. A traditional stone, detached Breton house, La Maison de Meme is set in its own private South and West facing gardens (gets the sun all day!). The garden is a good size (0.5 acre) with mature shrubs and trees and gas barbecue. Ideal location to enjoy the peace and quiet. The private secluded gardens are surrounded by beautiful countryside and open farmland. The house has 2 double bedrooms and will sleep a maximum of 4 adults plus 1 baby.

Changeover day
At the height of the season, changeover day is on Saturday but on some occasions this can be flexible. The property will be available from 2.00pm. Guests are kindly asked to vacate the property by 10.00am. Short breaks are also possible out of peak season

Accessibility
The path to the house is on a slope. Please feel free to e mail or ring if you have specific requirements.
Outside
Private secluded gardens laid mainly to lawn with mature trees and shrubs. Gas barbecue and (13') above ground (self assembly) heated paddling pool, sun loungers, garden chairs and umbrella. Private parking for 2 cars.
Coast/Beach
An excellent choice of sandy beaches within easy driving distance (40 mins). Some of the best beaches worth a visit include Carnac, Lamor Plage and La Trinite Sur Mer. Boat trips are also available from Vannes and Auray.
Special interest holidays
The house is ideal for that special quiet break in the countryside away from it all. It is surrounded by beautiful open countryside and farmland. Cycling is very popular with the French locals and there are many traffic free routes to choose from. The owners cycles (1 adult male and 1 adult female) are available for use.
Travel
By air - Flights from Edinburgh, Exeter, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton to Rennes then just a 45 min drive. Flights from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands and Stansted to Dinard then 1.5 hr drive.
Ferry - Portsmouth to St Malo then 1hr 45min drive. Newhaven to Dieppe then 4.5 hr drive.
Driving - Eurotunnel.

Josselin – Historic picturesque village 15 mins. Vannes – Nearest main City, shopping, restaurants and old harbour 20 mins. Auray (Picturesque old fishing village) 40 mins. Carnac (Sandy beaches) 40 mins.

Full payment with a £100 security deposit will be required 6 weeks prior to the holiday. Bookings made within 6 weeks of date of holiday require full payment and security deposit please at the time of booking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Brittany. We found that your house was exactly what we wanted. It was well located and we took advantage of the information packs to explore the area. We particularly wanted to go body-boarding & found the Atlantic coastal beaches en-route down to Quiberon particularly good.
We found that the directions that you'd mailed out to us were excellent. The the living room & kitchen are comfortable & well equipped and we all slept like logs!
