Set in the market square in Pontorson with its hourly connections to Mont Saint Michel, lively Wednesday market, great selection of restaurants and bars within a few seconds walk. Ideal for couples or families wishing to truly sample French life without the car keys! Thought to have been built in the 16th or 17th Century (nobody is quite sure) this little town-house has been thoroughly modernised retaining its quirky original features. She has a lovely history, during World War II in her attics she hid an old valve radio which was tuned in to London to hear of the war effort; later she became a café. René, René where are you? Changeover day
During August changeovers should be Saturday to Saturday. At other times we are flexible as and when possible. 7 night, 5 night and 3 nights offered. All arrivals must be after 4pm and departures before 10am to allow a thorough clean and preparation.

This ancient town cottage has large granite steps leading to the front door, a staircase to the first floor and a further staircase (fairly steep) to the second floor.

8km/10 mins drive to Le Mont-Saint-Michel and the coast. From Le Mont Saint Michel you can follow the old customs path where smugglers in horse-shoe coves hid their wares, taking the coastal route towards Saint-Malo takes you through Cancale, world famous for its oysters and seafood. Cherrueix hosts sand-yatching and windsurfing and has vast sandy beaches leading to the sea.

Market day is Wednesday right outside your front door. A large supermarket, launderette, service-station within 10 mins walk. Banks, pharmacies and all services are within walking distance. Large hypermarkets at Saint-Malo and Avranches. Cycle hire, horse-riding, golf, historic and coastal walks, boat trips and general day trips all available from the information office.
Regular coaches direct to Mont Saint Michel and beyond within a 10 minute walk. Pontorson Mont Saint Michel railways station 10 minute walk. Taxis and car hire locally. Connections from Dinard and Rennes airports available.
