Chalet Moccand has 5 or 8 spacious ensuite bedrooms with baths and/or showers. Mountain views, private gardens, some rooms have balconies with waterfall views. The main lounge area has large designer leathear sofas, log fire, large flatscreen TV, satellite TV, DVDs, iPod docking station, WiFi, Playstation with games, books and board games. A spacious dining area which can seat 20. There are two fully equipped kitchens and a second living area and snug with 3D TV, XBOX360, Darts and Pool table. Set in it's own grounds, with large sunny garden and plenty of shady areas and ample private parking There is a 4.5m/15 foot long swim spa. One end is a jacuzzi with seating, jets and bubbles, while the other provides a variable current to swim against. Next door is the self contained 'Mazot' with 2 more en-suite bedrooms and its own spaciousliving, dining and kitchen. For small groups, the chalet can be split into 3 units, one x 5 bedrooms, one x 3 bedrooms and one x 2 bedroom.

Accessibility
The chalet is a 5 minute flat gentle walk to the village centre.
Outside
Large sunny garden with 3 covered parking spaces and 2 further uncovered. Good size lawn with Jacuzzi and pool, decking/sunbathing area. Shaded outside dining area and BBQ.
Coast/Beach
5 minutes drive is a lifeguarded lake with sandy beach. Waterskiing available at the local lake.
Golf
6 golf courses within 1 hours drive, plus a driving range into the lake just a few minutes walk from the chalet.
Skiing
The chalet is just 2 minutes by free ski bus or a 10-12 minute flat walk from the Grand Massif, one of the largest ski areas in Europe. Our Ski hire company allows you to leave all of your ski equipment in their heated storage facility on the piste. It is made up of Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz, Sixt and Samoens. It offers extensive skiing and snowboarding, with a good snow record which is one of the best in the Alps. 2003 saw the opening of a super fast gondola from Samoens, taking you from the village straight up to Samoens 1600 ski resort in just 8 minutes. This delivers you directly into the heart of Samoens own extensive ski area, which joins with over 260km of piste plus 80 lifts, 14 black, 51 red, 53 blue and 15 green runs.

The Grand Massif Express lift is now open in summer as well as winter; this is fantastic news for walkers, bikers, paragliders and sports enthusiasts alike.
Winter facts - the Grand Massif is the 4th largest ski area in France and has one of the lowest lift to beds ratios - so much smaller queues than other well know resorts. Samoens now has a high speed lift from 1600m up to 2500m, this means less queuing, less time on the lifts and more skiing!
We are also offering some fantastic alternative activities in the winter, so if you are a non skier there are plenty of other exciting things to take part in, why not try our snow shoeing trip for example, a fantastic experience after which you can enjoy a delicious Savoyard meal in a Yurt on the side of the mountain! There has never been a better time to holiday in the Samoens area, with an abundance of activities to choose from, breathtaking scenery to enjoy, a delightful village to explore and friendly locals to meet. I just wanted to drop you a brief note to let you both know how we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chalet Moccand. In particular the service (and the cooking!) from our chalet hosts, Dave & Hayley, was outstanding (the best I've personally had in more than ten years of skiing). One of our party unfortunately suffered an injury and both our chalet hosts did their utmost to help us out.
