The gites are set in a large converted barn, typically French and opens out into a courtyard, where there is also a sun terrace to sit and relax. To left there is a gate which takes you through to the pool. The pool is 10m x 5m and has plenty of space for sunbathing, with loungers and hammocks and has views out to the open countryside. The complex is set in an acre of gardens with fruit trees, where you can also relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. bedroom 3 with double bed and en-suite. Bathroom 1 with luxury twin sink and large bath with shower. Ensuite with twin sink, corner bath and shower. The main kitchen area has electric cooker/gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, a kettle, coffee maker and a toaster. Washing facilities available in the barn. The downstairs is open plan, with a lounge and dining area. There is a table and chairs to accommodate 8 people and a seating area to accommodate 8 people. In the lounge area there is also a TV and DVD player with Sky TV channels. We have a 3 star rating with the Meuble de Tourisme. Towels and linen are included and they are changed weekly. |

Notes on accommodation
The property is suitable for children, with swings in the garden and is secure so they cannot go astray.

Accessibility
There are no steps or hills to the property, it is flat and easily accessible for mobility. The sleeping accommodation downstairs is the sofa bed, the main bedrooms are upstairs.
Outside
The swimming pool is 10x5m and is completely secluded.
There is an undercover patio and eating area to the side and an outdoor solar shower. The grounds are set in nearly 2 acres surrounded by mature gardens and open views to the surrounding countryside.
Coast/Beach
Just 50 mins to the nearest beach. Royan. Mimizane which is famous for surfing which is around 70 mins away.
Golf
There are various golf courses in the surrounding areas, the nearest one being near Angouleme about 25 mins away, there are also courses near Cognac and the seaside resort of Royan.
Travel
Only 45 minutes drive from Bordeaux airport and 30 minutes drive from Angouleme.
Limoges and Bergerac are 1 1/2 hours drive.
A car is recommended.
Distances
We are just 30 minutes drive from Cognac where you can visit the famous Hennessy or Remy Martin factories and taste the fine wines and cognac.
Jonzac is just 15 minutes drive where there is a large leisure complex with indoor and outdoor swimming, gym, solarium, and spa. The pretty village has a market on Fridays and there are plenty of bars and restaurants.
Barbezieux is also just 15 minutes drive and has a market on Wednesday.
Further details
Just 10 mins walk through the vignes to the village.
In the village there are a couple of banks, 2 bars, 2 chemists and a restaurant(steak house and tapas bar).
Just on the edge of the village is a large supermarket.
