We transformed the castle into a countryhouse chambres d'hotes - boutique hotel, B&B, which is situated in the rolling countryside of the “Parc du Morvan”. We have 5 spacious rooms, cq. junior suites, all in an out of the ordinary 'chateau-style', with a 'touch of baroque and theater', and all with a spectacular view. You will experience a relaxed and unpretentious way of living, with quirky contemporary décor fused in with the more traditional. "This is not a stuffy old château, but a house with a new lease of life". Chateau de Savilly forms an excellent base from which to explore the attractions of the region; for walking, cycling, visiting the numerous cultural and historic scenes, playing golf or tasting wine when you enjoy the Grands Crus wine route.

With the backdrop of the Fôret de Glenne in the Morvan National Park, the view from the terrace opens out towards Autun and the valley of the River Arroux.

Our generous breakfast is served in our lovely dining room or on the terrace if the weather permits. During the day and evening, when you enjoy the lazy 'Bear-Chairs', maybe with a drink, or a glass of wine of the region, which we provide.
You have the possibility to enjoy your evening dinner, once a week, by reservation only. The price of this 4-course 'menu du jour' is 32,50 euros.
In our culinairy region, starting with just a 4 minute drive, you can find plenty of restaurants nearby. Traditional, modern, or just up to 3-stars Michelin.
Of course we will help you to make a reservation, if you like.

We recently spent two nights at this chateau, which is situated a little west from Autun, Burgundy. What a lovely setting! The chateau is absolutely beautiful and the hosts are very friendly, while speaking a variety of languages to accommodate each and every guest. The atmosphere is extremely quiet and relaxing. However, Autun, Beaune and the rest of the Burgundian winelands and little villages are only a short drive per car away.
We hope to return someday soon!

I stayed in this hotel in May 2007 for three nights on a weekend break. We were delighted with our choice of this B&B/hotel which was in a lovely area of the Burgundy. On our arrival Marc and Esmeralde could not have been more helpful and throughout our stay they were very friendly and lovely to talk to. The castle itself was fantastic, with an original mix of contemporary and classic decoration. Great beds.
