We live in the middle of 9 acres hidden away with complete peace and quiet. We have 4 luxury residences within the farmhouse and our guests visit all seasons. By car in winter we are just a couple of minutes from the tèlècabine. We offer both self and fully catered or a mixture. We have a fine wine cellar and many traditional French dishes. We also have a heated swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week and per person in UK Pounds.
Our self-catered guests may order breakfast (£8), dinner (£25) and high tea (£12). Drinks are additional for your evening meals. Children under 1 yr – no charge. For those adults in the Summer (i.e 26 May - 22 September) who are self catered the price includes dinners on the evenings of your arrival and departure plus another soiree. The self catered price for children does not include any meals.

Notes on accommodation
SC (self catering). FC (fully catered). HT (fully catered with high tea for children).
Self catering includes evening meal on arrival, barbecue evening and Friday evening for the adults. Some younger children whose parents are fully-catered take the SC option in terms of high-tea. For any further options regarding the young ones please speak to Corinne.
For all our winter guests the chalet service is inclusive within the price, so the crockery, glasses, empty bottles, tidying beds, etc will all be dealt with daily. We also offer a nanny service, where your young ones will be very happy sledging down the slopes. We also have digital projection TV with cartoons. This can all be arranged before or during your visit at no extra cost.
Outside
We have our own private swimming pool, which is there for your use at all times. The pool is 40ft long by 20ft wide, and is 2.3 metres deep one end. During the summer it is kept at 27ºC. In winter, the pool is covered and heated to 30ºC. The jacuzzi is very relaxing after a swim and certainly eases the muscles for the next day’s skiing. It is kept at 40ºC. After your jacuzzi you may wish to finish your recuperation by lying in the sauna, warming your muscles and contemplating tomorrow’s black run. Alternatively for those fitness fanatics, you may like to continue your day’s sport with a good work out in the gym, before going for your swim. With nine acres of land under snow in winter, the children are very happy with their sledges and thoroughly enjoy being driven around on the skidoo and find it great fun. We also have a large parking area.
Golf
There are several good golf courses in close proximity to the farm.
Skiing
Ferme Sterveda is only a couple of minutes by car form the nearest tèlècabine, at Morillon, taking you straight up into the ski domain of the Grand Massif. Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt are all linked at the Plateau De Saix with Flaine forming the Grand Massif. It is one of the largest and most beautiful ski circuits in the Alps. For a brilliant way to finish a day's skiing we can take a helicopter taxi and land at the farm.
Travel
Geneva International airport is 45 mins drive from the Farmhouse. Calais is 8 – 9 hour drive from the Farmhouse.
Distance to Ski lifts 3km. A car is not necessary as during the day we will take you to and from the piste. The Farmhouse nestles in the middle of many of the great ski circuits of the Alps and we are happy to arrange trips/guiding to La Vallée Blanche at Chamonix, Agentière, Les Gets, Morzine, Avoriaz, Megeve, St Gervais, La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand.
Further details
The beautiful Vallée du Giffre is noted in the French blue guide as 'une des plus ravissantes des Alpes'. It is truly a hidden treasure, generally unknown to most English as there are no tour operators. There are many activities available nearby. In the winter there is skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, ice-skating, parapenting, etc. In the summer there are many opportunities to go mountain walking, mountain climbing, horse and pony trekking, white water rafting, mountain biking, parapenting, and so much more. We have over the years acquired an excellent reputation for our cuisine and wine cellar. Nearly all of our winter guests are fully catered whereas in the summer the guests who are self-catering dine on the evening of their arrival and departure. Dinner: The Den is an intimate, candlelit area, with a warm open log fire. We blend both traditional French and English dishes and follow our entrée with main courses like confit de canard (a classic French dish from the Perigord region), truite de mer, lapin chasseur, saumon sauce champagne, biche with a red wine and plum sauce, a classic pierrade and tartiflette. We offer a fine selection of French and Savoyard cheeses, which are matured in our cellar. And afterwards we serve classic French tarts, profiteroles, mousse au chocolate, as well as traditional English desserts. High Tea: this is for the children, available between 6pm and 6.30pm in the conservatory. Breakfast: Le petit-dejeuner is served in the conservatory with confitures, croissants (faits maison). You can also order a traditional English breakfast, if you are really feeling hungry.
